Summary: Adenomyoepithelioma (AME) is a rare tumor with controversial treatment approaches due to limited high-quality data and prospective studies. Simple mastectomy is considered an acceptable treatment option for this tumor.

Summary: Adenomyoepithelioma (AME) of the breast is a rare benign tumor, but there is a possibility of malignant transformation. Treatment should be approached with caution as there may be repeated recurrences after local excision.

Summary: Malignant adenomyoepithelioma (AME) of the breast is an exceptionally rare form of breast cancer with limited effectiveness of chemotherapy. Mutations in the HRAS gene are common in malignant AMEs, and treatment with the MEK inhibitor trametinib may be effective for patients with HRAS mutations.

Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed the clinicopathological features and treatment outcomes of 15 cases of malignant adenomyoepithelioma. The results showed that preoperative core needle biopsy was not accurate for diagnosing malignant adenomyoepithelioma. Malignant adenomyoepithelioma has a high rate of triple negative subtype but has a relatively good prognosis, although there is a risk of local and systemic recurrence.

Summary: This paper reports a rare case of multifocal breast adenoid cystic carcinoma (AdCC) with adenomyoepitheliomatous morphology. While most breast AdCCs are unifocal, there have been only four previously reported cases of multifocal AdCC. This study adds to the literature by confirming multifocality in AdCC through molecular analysis.

Summary: Malignant adenomyoepithelioma (MAME) of the breast is a rare breast malignancy with diverse cell morphology, which requires immunohistochemistry for clear diagnosis. This article presents two cases and discusses the clinical characteristics and treatment strategies for MAME.

Summary: Adenomyoepithelioma is a spectrum of lesions with variable morphology and clinical behavior. It is characterized by proliferation of epithelial and myoepithelial cells and can be benign, atypical or malignant. Malignant cases may require additional treatments such as radiotherapy and lymph node biopsy.

Summary: Oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs) are a group of tissue lesions that have the ability to transform into oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Despite optimal surgical treatment, approximately 20%-30% of OPMDs may progress into OSCC. No clear clinical/histological factors can identify OPMDs at higher risk of malignant transformation.

Summary: Oral leukoplakia is a common precursor lesion of oral squamous cell carcinoma, and identifying biomarkers for malignant transformation in oral leukoplakia is crucial. While no single biomarker has been applied clinically yet, profiling for genomic instability could be a promising approach.

Summary: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the fastest growing cause of cancer death in the United States, with the incidence rate more than doubling in 20 years. HCC is unique in that a noninvasive diagnosis can be achieved through imaging alone, avoiding the need for tissue sampling. Different morphologic subtypes of HCC can present a diagnostic challenge due to their significant differences in morphology.

Summary: Malignant proliferating trichilemmal tumor (MPTT) is a rare tumor that occurs mainly in sun-exposed areas such as the face, scalp, neck, and dorsal part of the hand. Differential diagnosis from other skin cancers, such as squamous cell carcinoma, basal-cell carcinoma, keratoacanthoma, and malignant nodular melanoma, can only be made through incisional biopsy. We report a case of MPTT misdiagnosed as a malignant tumor of the parotid gland, which was treated with radical surgical excision and adjuvant radiotherapy.

Summary: Malignant adenomyoepithelioma (AME) of the breast is a rare tumor with challenging assessment in terms of incidence and prognosis. Two patients underwent mastectomy and lymph node biopsy followed by adjuvant chemotherapy, with no signs of relapse or metastasis observed in the two-year follow-up period.

Summary: The authors developed a pathomics-based model using machine learning algorithms and deep learning methods to accurately predict the malignant transformation risk of oral leukoplakia (OLK). The model, based on hematoxylin and eosin-stained images, provides rapid assessment of prognosis for OLK patients and has important implications for management and treatment.

Summary: A unique case of breast MAME after breast augmentation is reported. Skin-sparing modified radical mastectomy and immediate breast reconstruction yielded satisfactory treatment results for the patient. The potential relationship between MAME and breast implants needs further exploration.
