In this work, the transition metallic element Fe and nonmetallic elements P and C were introduced to prepare nanoporous (np-) amorphous PdFePC alloys using electrochemical dealloying. Among them, np-Pd10Fe70P5C15 exhibits the best hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalytic activity and good long-term stability. The P/C ratio plays an important role on the catalytic performance. This work provides a new direction for the design and preparation of multicomponent HER catalysts. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
