Summary: The feasibility of magnetization treatment using neodymium magnets for blueberry wine aging was studied. Two magnetization aging devices with different operating modes were used to treat new blueberry wine. The magnetization treatment resulted in faster changes in the basic characteristics of the wine and improved the phenolic substances, antioxidant capacity, and sensory properties of the wine. The M1 mode had a greater positive influence on these properties compared to the M2 mode.

Summary: This study examines the impact of environmental degradation, such as biodiversity loss, deforestation, and agricultural emissions, on agricultural production as well as cereal and vegetable production in 35 European countries. The results show that biodiversity loss harms agricultural, cereal, and vegetable production, while an increase in forest area positively affects cereal and vegetable production. Agricultural emissions do not significantly affect the three variables, but they have a negative effect on cereal production and a positive impact on vegetable production. Additionally, renewable energy use, political stability, and women empowerment have positive and significant impacts on all three dependent variables, while e-governance significantly and positively affects agricultural and vegetable production. Social progress has a positive but insignificant effect on the dependent variables. The study provides important policy implications for the agricultural sector in Europe.

Summary: The study revealed significant differences in volatile and phenolic compositions among different grape varieties. Wines from Corvina and Corvinone showed higher levels of monoterpenols, while Oseleta stood out for its concentration of terpinen-4-ol and linalool oxide isomers. Additionally, the aromatic series of the wines varied between different grape varieties.

Summary: This paper presents a study on the agricultural-demographic transition in the Transoxiana region, focusing on the role of grapes. By analyzing directly dated grape remains from early urban centers in south Uzbekistan, the researchers found a range of morphological variations in the cultivated grape pips. These variations suggest the recognition of different grape varieties by local cultivators and the possibility of asexual propagation.

Summary: The study found that the main consumption drivers of Fondillon include good balance, intense floral and fruity notes, and long aftertaste. The current typical Fondillon consumer is a 42-52 year-old man with a higher education level, an income of 25,000-50,000 euros/year, and who mainly drinks it at home. The online study revealed that 50% of respondents do not consume Fondillon due to lack of knowledge, high price, or difficulty in finding it.

Summary: This study empirically demonstrates the positive impact of wine tourism on economic performance, as well as the partial mediation of ecological agriculture in this relationship. It fills a research gap on the mediating role of ecological agriculture in the link between wine tourism and economic performance, and suggests broadening the geographical scope of future research.

Summary: The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of climate change on the structure of wine production and consumption in the Czech Republic, particularly in relation to the growing popularity of white wine consumption. However, the current preferences of Czech wine consumers, which favor white wines, do not align with the assumption that vine varieties suitable for the production of red wines will become more prevalent due to climate change.

Summary: Agricultural systems and policies in Switzerland, Germany, and France have different impacts on bird populations, leading to smaller and less diverse bird populations in Switzerland. The difference between the countries was more significant in the 1990s compared to the 2010s. Additional policy efforts, such as targeted agri-environmental payments, may be necessary to improve bird friendliness in Switzerland.

Summary: Questions regarding the timing and center of the spread of the Indo-European language are crucial in understanding the formation of linguistic landscapes in Europe and Asia, as well as the archaeology and population history of these regions. Recent studies in paleogenomics support the idea that the core Indo-European languages spread through the expansion of Yamnaya herders during the Early Bronze Age. By analyzing etymology, this study shows that the early Indo-European community had fewer terms related to cereal cultivation compared to the core Indo-European community, indicating a shift from a mostly non-agricultural to a mixed agro-pastoral economy.
