Summary: Aberrant expression of lncRNA SOCS2-AS1 is found to be associated with endometrial cancer, where it acts as a tumor suppressor by binding to AURKA and promoting its degradation, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in EC cells. This suggests that SOCS2-AS1 may serve as a prognostic predictor and biomarker for AURKA-inhibitor treatment in EC patients.

Summary: Gastric cancer is a significant health burden worldwide, but the molecular mechanisms underlying its progression are not well understood. This study reveals the role of BBOX1-AS1 in regulating gastric cancer progression through the miR-361-3p/MUC13 axis, providing a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of gastric cancer.

Summary: This study identifies a new lncRNA, MIR2187HG, which is significantly upregulated upon SCRV infection and plays a regulatory role in the immune response of fish. MIR2187HG acts as a negative regulator of the TBK1-mediated antiviral signaling pathway, allowing for effective suppression of excessive immunity. Additionally, SCRV can utilize MIR2187HG to enhance its own replication.

Summary: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a highly malignant tumor with poor prognosis. The molecular mechanisms of pancreatic oncogenesis and malignant progression are not fully understood. Recent studies have shown that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and circular RNAs (circRNAs) play important roles in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) process in PDAC, affecting the migration and invasion of tumor cells. These RNAs can regulate the expression of EMT-related proteins through different mechanisms, thus influencing the development of cancer.

Summary: Mounting evidence suggests that obscurin, a giant cytoskeletal protein, is involved in the predisposition and development of breast cancer. Low levels of obscurin correlate with reduced overall and relapse-free survival in breast cancer patients. The antisense lncRNA OBSCN-AS1 regulates obscurin expression and functions as a metastasis suppressor, potentially serving as prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for metastatic breast cancer.

Summary: The study revealed that lncRNA-TP53TG1 is downregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and exerts its tumor-suppressive effects by physically interacting with PRDX4 to promote its ubiquitin-mediated degradation, thus inhibiting the WNT/beta-catenin signaling pathway in HCC.

Summary: Pancreatic cancer is difficult to treat, and the main reasons for poor prognosis are cell invasion and migration. In this study, researchers found that miR-490-5p is abnormally low-expressed in pancreatic cancer and downregulation of miR-490-5p enhances the viability, migration, and invasion of pancreatic cancer cells. Additionally, miR-490-5p regulates the protein expression of MMP2, MMP9, and N-cadherin, and upregulates the protein expression of E-cadherin. The expression of MAGI2-AS3 is also associated with cell viability, migration, and invasion in pancreatic cancer. The study reveals that miR-490-5p plays an anti-cancer role in pancreatic cancer by targeting MAGI2-AS3 and regulating EMT.

Summary: The transcription factor ZEB1 plays a critical role in cell function and embryonic development, with its activities regulated by interactions with miRNAs and lncRNAs. While the exact role of ZEB1 in pediatric cancer is still unclear, emerging evidence suggests its involvement in regulating solid tumors in children.

Summary: By analyzing the TCGA dataset, we identified a novel lncRNA called CCL14-AS, which is enriched in the cytoplasm and negatively correlated with lymph node metastasis and unfavorable prognosis of colorectal cancer (CRC). Functional experiments and mouse models confirmed the inhibitory role of CCL14-AS in CRC. Our findings suggest that the CCL14-AS/MEP1A axis serves as a critical regulator in CRC progression and may be a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in advanced CRC.

Summary: The study identified LINC00671 as a novel tumor suppressor in pancreatic cancer, with reduced expression associated with poor tumor differentiation, aggressiveness, and prognosis. Overexpression of LINC00671 inhibited tumor growth and metastasis, and it was involved in multiple tumor-associated signaling pathways.
