Summary: Seven new diterpenoid alkaloids were isolated from Delphinium grandiflorum, along with eight reaction products and thirteen known compounds. Grandiflonines A and B have a unique C-20 diterpenoid alkaloid skeleton, with the configuration of C-18 inverted. The analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities of these compounds were evaluated, with deoxylappaconitine showing superior analgesic activity compared to lappaconitine.

Summary: This study isolated seven undescribed compounds with medicinal and anti-inflammatory activities from Delphinium kamaonense. In vitro assays showed significant inhibitory effects on nitric oxide, indicating potential anti-inflammatory properties. The mechanism of action may be related to the MAPK signaling pathway. Molecular docking results revealed two promising pharmacophores for the lycaconitine-type C19-diterpenoid alkaloids, namely the uncommon amides and methylenedioxy groups.

Summary: A pair of new regioisomeric C-19-diterpenoid alkaloids, Shawurenine C (1a) and Shawurenine D (1b), along with five known C-19-diterpenoid alkaloids (2-6), were isolated from the aerial part of Delphinium shawurense W. T. Wang. The chemical structures of the new compounds were determined through spectroscopic analyses, including HR-ESI-MS and 1D, 2D NMR spectroscopic data. Additionally, the anti-inflammatory and cytotoxic activities of these diterpenoid alkaloids were evaluated.

Summary: In this study, a new denudatine-type C-20-diterpenoid alkaloid named arcutisine was isolated from the roots of Aconitum fischeri var. arcuatum, along with 24 known compounds. The structures were elucidated through spectroscopic analyses. The isolation of compounds 1 and 2 from natural sources for the first time, and the weak anti-inflammatory activity of compounds 7 and 10 at a concentration of 40 μM were notable findings.

Summary: This study investigated the anti-fibrotic effects of five major components from Delphinium trichophorum on fibroblasts for the first time. The results showed that all five compounds could effectively reduce abnormal proliferation of fibroblasts and decrease collagen production. Among them, DTF1 and DTF2 demonstrated superior effectiveness. Further experiments revealed that DTF1 and DTF2 exerted their effects by inhibiting the activation of the TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway.
