Ag-loaded TiO2 photocatalysts prepared by photodeposition method in an argon atmosphere exhibited highly selective photocatalytic activity for CO2 reduction with water to produce CO, while the sample prepared under an air atmosphere predominantly promoted water splitting. [GRAPHICS] .
