Summary: This paper describes a dataset mined from the public archive of the US National Incident Management System Incident Status Summary forms. The dataset includes detailed information on incident development and response, encompassing various incident types. The authors have developed reproducible methods to produce a science-grade version of the data, enabling exploration of the progression of environmental-hazard events in recent US history.

Summary: In this study, thermalization behaviors in the Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-Tsingou system with a small number of particles were investigated under periodic boundary conditions. It was found that the thermalization time is inversely proportional to the system's energy density within a certain range of nonlinearity, allowing for energy exchange between different modes. However, in the very weakly nonlinear regime, energy redistribution occurs through resonances of high frequency modes while energies on low frequency modes remain frozen on large time scales.

Summary: The study derives scaling relations for the kinematic small-scale dynamo growth rate and amplification factor based on assumptions in the Rayleigh-Taylor instability. The results show discrepancies during different phases, allowing for quantitative prediction of magnetic energy amplification and determination of energy proportion with turbulent kinetic energy. The findings have implications for understanding magnetic energy evolution in laboratory and astrophysical scenarios.

Summary: Covering rough set theory and binary relation based rough set theory are important generalizations of Z. Pawlak's classical rough set theory. When considering serial relations, they are actually the same thing. By introducing nthl neighborhoods and kthr neighborhoods recursively, a new set of upper and lower approximation operators is established, leading to the Generalized Rough Approximation System (GRAS).

Summary: This study presents a multi-electrolyzers hybrid system for wind-hydrogen system and proposes two control strategies. It compares and analyzes two different configurations that can achieve the target value of the lower load limit and proposes and simulates different switch strategies between multi-electrolyzers. The results show that the developed general procedure is well feasible for the improvement of energy efficiency and scale of the industry's commercial alkaline water electrolyzers.

Summary: The study investigated the combustion characteristics of custom-made jet fuels with different Cetane numbers in a compression-ignition engine. It was found that higher Cetane number fuels exhibited quicker low-temperature reactions and transitions to high-temperature reactions, showing the predominant effect of fuel reactivity. The trade-off between fuel reactivity and charge premixing was successfully identified, with CN40 showing the most optimized performance with strong high-temperature reactions and low in-cylinder soot levels.

Summary: Many U.S. children can count sets accurately by the age of 4, but struggle to understand the structural analogy between counting and numbers, instead relying on item-based reasoning. Research shows that children can perform item-based addition operations before becoming competent counters, even after learning to count their addition operations remain item-based.

Summary: This study investigates the orbital magnetization (OM) of a bilayer Chern insulator with adjustable Chern number under a perpendicular electric field. The results show that the nonzero Chern number causes a gauge shift in OM with bulk region averaging, while this gauge shift is absent with whole sample averaging. This indicates that only the whole sample average is reliable for calculating OM under a nonzero electric field. Based on this, the orbital magnetoelectric polarizability (OMP) and Chern-Simons orbital magnetoelectric polarizability (CSOMP) with whole sample average are studied, along with their relationship with the response of Berry curvature to the electric field.

Summary: Experimental investigation was conducted on the effect of natural convection during the melting process of a capric acid-based multi-walled carbon nanotube thermal energy storage system. Results showed that the 0.02% vol. fraction of MWCNT/CA-based PCM had lower melting time, higher thermal conductivity, and specific heat capacity compared to other samples, making it a suitable nanoenhanced phase change material for thermal energy storage systems.
