This is a review of the existing studies on the seed-assisted method for synthesis of ZSM-5 zeolite which integrated different types of seeds and different routes for synthesis ZSM-5 via seed technique. Moreover, the effect of synthetic parameters in the synthesis of seed such as crystallization time and temperature, silica source, TPAOH content, and water content are investigated. Finally, the effect of the seeding approach on ZSM-5 textural properties and its performance in methanol conversions are studied thoroughly and the reasons for the different observations are explained.
