Summary: The article investigates a method for improving the corona resistance of insulating materials used in high-frequency power systems. The thermally imidized ODPA-ODA-SDA copolyimides are synthesized and the influence of ODPA and SDA on the dielectric properties are discussed. The experiments show that the ODPA-ODA-SDA copolyimide exhibits the best dielectric properties and corona resistance under corona ageing environment.

Summary: In the quest for a clean alternative insulating oil, the potential of transformer oil-based nanofluids using natural ester as a green alternative has been thoroughly investigated. This study focused on improving the physicochemical properties, dielectric loss, and breakdown voltage of palm kernel oil ester by incorporating Al2O3 and TiO2 nanoparticles. The dispersion of nanoparticles in the fluid was found to increase the breakdown voltage and decrease the dielectric loss of the nanofluid sample, showing improved performance compared to the base alkyl ester.

Summary: This paper focuses on studying the dielectric behavior of a mixture of natural ester oil and mineral oil blend dispersed with TiO2 and ZnO nanoparticles. The results show an overall enhancement in the dielectric properties of nanofluids, with improved breakdown voltage compared to pure mineral oil, pure ester oil, and the oil-blend. These nanofluids can be used as insulating oils in transformers, offering better cooling performance as well.

Summary: This paper investigates the electrical breakdown performance of coconut oil and finds that RBD coconut oil performs well as a substitute for natural ester. Experimental results show that the viscosity and resistivity of RBD coconut oil remain stable during aging, and its breakdown strength does not significantly decrease under thermal aging conditions.

Summary: This article explores the effects of DC polarity, DC proportion, rod radius, and rod-plane distance on corona inception phase under combined AC/DC voltage. The results show that the normalized amplitude under equivalent positive corona conforms to normal distribution. Furthermore, with the increase of DC proportion, the dispersion of the corona inception phase under equivalent positive corona becomes more obvious than that under equivalent negative corona.

Summary: This paper introduces an innovative mechanism that can suppress the impact of Corona discharge in ultra-high voltage transmission systems, protecting the line from high electrical fields and improving power transfer capacity. Through quantification and modeling analysis of the impact of Corona discharge on transmission lines, the study shows that the mechanism can effectively reduce or mitigate the impact of Corona discharge, opening up new possibilities for future applications in the field of power systems protection.

Summary: Natural ester is a potential alternative to mineral oil with high degradability, but its inferior breakdown characteristics hinder its application in large power equipment. This research investigates the breakdown characteristics of natural ester through calculations and model development. The results show that the natural ester has a similar breakdown voltage but a lower acceleration voltage compared to mineral oil. The model also considers the effect of temperature on carrier mobility.

Summary: This study experimentally investigates the effects of temperature and humidity on the current-voltage and flow characteristics of two-stage needle-to-ring type ionic wind pumps. The coupling effects of temperature, humidity, and water vapor condensation determine the current-voltage and flow characteristics, and there is a competition between humidity and vapor condensation effects on breakdown voltage, current, and velocity.

Summary: This study investigates the application prospects of bio-based sustainable natural ester as an electrical equipment insulation, focusing on the use of nanotechnology for improving its electrical and physical and chemical properties. The results show that the KH550 surface modified nano-TiO2 has a superior effect on improving the electrical properties of the insulating oil compared to nano-TiO2. The amino and silicon hydroxyl groups on the surface of KH550-TiO2 carry strong positive electrostatic potential, which enhances the dispersion of KH550-TiO2 in natural esters.

Summary: This study presents an experimental comparison of AC breakdown voltage in natural and synthetic ester-based nanofluids with fullerene and magnetite nanoparticles. Statistical analysis shows that the AC BDV of nanofluids increases with increasing cumulative probability. Fullerene nanoparticles tend to reduce AC BDV in natural ester, while magnetic nanoparticles enhance AC BDV in both esters, though to a different extent.

Summary: The study found that in high AC component, the corona inception voltage is higher for negative corona compared to positive corona, while in low AC component, the corona inception voltage is higher for positive corona. The corona inception voltage decreases with increasing AC component, and the remaining space charge tends to block corona inception, leading to a higher corona inception voltage.

Summary: This contribution investigates the phenomenon of "multiple emitters un-scalability" in multiple emitters systems and finds that the corona discharge inception is affected by electro-static interactions between emitters, which can be balanced by adjusting the interactions between emitters and collectors. The study also reveals that the electrostatic interactions among emitters can be balanced by the interactions between emitters and collectors, resulting in the generation of various multi-inception patterns.
