Summary: This systematic literature review examines the association between alcohol use and arterial stiffness. The results suggest a J-shaped relationship, where light-to-moderate alcohol consumption is associated with lower arterial stiffness values, while high doses of alcohol accelerate arterial aging. Gender and age may also influence this association.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the relationship between alcohol-related problems, drinking attitudes, and sick leave. The findings suggest that company-level differences are more important than within-company differences in explaining variations in sick leave rates. Additionally, alcohol-related problems and drinking attitudes were not associated with sick leave.

Summary: This systematic review aims to identify the impact of osteoarthritis (OA) on work participation and biopsychosocial and work-related factors associated with absenteeism, presenteeism, work transitions, work impairment, work accommodations, and premature work loss. The study found that physically intensive work, moderate-to-severe joint pain, comorbidities, and low co-worker support potentially affect work participation in OA.

Summary: This study found that motives and amount of time spent on social media were associated with the participants' mental health. Using social media to decrease loneliness and for entertainment purposes was linked to poorer mental health, while using it for personal contact and maintaining relationships was associated with better mental health. Overall, increased daily time on social media was correlated with poorer mental health.

Summary: This study investigated the association between social media use and loneliness two years after the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. The results showed that participants who worried more about their health, were younger, unemployed, and without a spouse or partner reported higher levels of loneliness. Spending more time on social media was associated with increased loneliness. People who primarily used social media to maintain relationships felt lonelier compared to those who used it for other reasons.

Summary: Relationships between learning environment variables and students' approaches to studying were examined in this study, with a focus on stability over time. The results showed that the variables of 'generic skills' and 'appropriate workload' had relatively stable associations with study approaches. The variables of 'clear goals and standards' and 'student autonomy' were directly associated with study approaches in both study years, but the nature of these associations changed over time. Understanding the stability and change in these relationships can help faculty members in creating an effective learning environment throughout the study program.

Summary: This qualitative study explores the perceptions of concussion, concussion risks, and prevention among English blind 5-a-side footballers in order to improve para concussion care. The study found that blind footballers lacked understanding of their own concussion experiences and believed that the diagnosis and experience of a concussion differed for individuals without vision. The severity of perceived concussions and previous concussion experiences influenced their reporting behaviors. Factors such as spatial orientation and sleep, which are important for daily functioning, were affected by concussions but are not adequately addressed in current assessment tools or clinical guidance for sports-related concussions.

Summary: This study investigated the motivations, hesitancies, and associated factors in obtaining COVID-19 vaccines two years into the pandemic through online surveys. Over 80% of the participants obtained the vaccine based on public health recommendations and trust in its safety, while concerns about side effects were the most common reason for hesitancy. Distrust in policies and science was also a frequent reason reported by those who did not obtain the vaccine. These findings can inform public health strategies to increase vaccination rates.
