Summary: Meteloxetin, a new phenolic amino-oxetane, and eight known phenols were isolated from Datura metel Linn and showed significant inhibition against acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase. Compound 1 exhibited potent inhibition potential against both enzymes, attributed to the presence of amino-oxetane groups in its structure. The in silico studies suggest oxetane rings as a versatile pharmacophore with high-energy oxygen, contributing to compound 1's strong inhibitory activity.

Summary: A new sesquiterpenoid compound, dmetelin J (1), was isolated from the leaves of Datura metel L., along with four known compounds: apocynol A (2), blumenol B (3), megastigmane (4), and ( + )-dehydrovomifoliol (5). The structure of dmetelin J (1) was determined using spectroscopic techniques, including 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy and HRESIMS. Compounds 2, 3, and 5 were isolated from the Solanaceae family for the first time. Anti-inflammatory activity evaluation was performed on all isolated compounds.

Summary: In this study, Mg3(1-x)Dy3x(PO4)(2) phosphors with varying doping ratios were successfully synthesized using urea as fuel. XRD analysis confirmed a monoclinic structure for both undoped and Dy3+ (2 mol. %) doped phosphors. The PL emission spectra showed yellowish white light emission when excited with near UV light, and the band gap of Dy3+ (2 mol. %) doped Mg-3(PO4)(2) was decreased compared to undoped phosphor due to the formation of intermediate energy levels.

Summary: Research on van der Waals heterostructures constructed from different two-dimensional materials, where the distribution, Raman and photoluminescence spectra are analyzed by optical microscopy and Raman spectrometry to study growth mechanisms and optical properties. The study also explains the internal mechanisms of Raman and PL spectral changes through analyzing junction and non-junction regions between 2D-2D vdWs heterostructure materials.

Summary: A sodium alginate polymer membrane mediated by Datura metel L. leaf extract was successfully synthesized using the solution casting technique. The prepared film was analyzed for its electrical, electrochemical, physicochemical, and antimicrobial properties. The polysaccharide functional groups were identified using FTIR analysis, and the crystallinity/amorphous nature of the samples was studied using XRD analysis. The DmMSA2 polymer membrane exhibited an ionic conductivity of 2.18 x 10-4 Scm-1, a maximum specific capacitance of 131 F/g at a current density of 0.2 A/g, and demonstrated significant antimicrobial activity against human pathogens. Therefore, Datura metel L. leaf extract mediated polymer membranes show promise as solid electrolytes in supercapacitor devices and as antimicrobial agents in food packaging applications.

Summary: This research article focuses on the synthesis and characterization of Na(1_ x)Zr2Smx(PO4)(3) (x = 0.005-0.05) phosphors. The phase purity, lattice parameters, chemical states, and morphology of the synthesized phosphors were thoroughly investigated. The study identified a strong characteristic emission from Sm3+ ions and extensively explored the effect of doping concentration on the photoluminescence spectra. The bandgap of the phosphors was measured and found to be in the range of 4.25 - 4.56 eV.

Summary: Nano-crystalline Gd-substituted X-type hexaferrites with different Gd concentrations were synthesized and their properties were studied. X-ray diffraction confirmed the single and pure phases of hexagonal ferrites. The dielectric properties showed frequency dependence and suggested potential applications in high-frequency devices and supercapacitors. Raman spectra and SEM images further supported the findings.

Summary: This article reports the successful synthesis of high-purity NaZr2(PO4):Eu3+ phosphate phosphor by solution combustion synthesis which emits in the reddish region. The structural, vibrational, elemental composition, electronic, and optical characteristics of the synthesized phosphor were analyzed using various measurements. The phosphor showed emission in the visible area due to the magnetic dipole transition of the Eu3+ ions, and it exhibited a high color purity of 94% in the reddish region. These findings suggest that the phosphor could be suitable for various optoelectronic devices, including phosphor-converted whitelight-emitting diodes.
