Summary: This study evaluated the outcomes of different treatment modalities in cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) treatment with a sample of 27 cases. Most patients were successfully treated with first-line treatment, indicating the importance of individualized treatment based on risk factors. Early diagnosis and multidisciplinary management are crucial for preventing complications in CSP cases.

Summary: The study proposed a standardized care management for patients diagnosed with cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP). By using a combination of methotrexate injection and uterine artery embolization, all cases were successfully treated with no complications. Early diagnosis and proper orientation of the trophoblast were found to be important predictors of successful management.

Summary: The study evaluated the effectiveness of lower segment folding in managing lower segment bleeding and conserving the uterus in cases with morbidly adherent placenta. The procedure was successful in achieving good hemostasis and preserving the uterus in all studied cases, with a rapid and easy technique that did not require special expertise or equipment.

Summary: In cesarean scar pregnancy, the implantation site displays increased fibrosis and disrupted myometrium, while the non-scar implantation sites have specific features of local decidua. The differentiation process of the decidua is important for the management and avoidance of consequences in cesarean scar pregnancy.

Summary: This study investigated the surgical treatment approaches for patients with Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) and the effects on subsequent pregnancy. The results showed significant differences in clinical characteristics among different types of CSP. Hysteroscopic lesion excision was commonly used, and uterine artery embolization was often performed as an adjuvant treatment. The number of previous cesarean deliveries was found to be a risk factor for recurrent CSP in subsequent pregnancies.

Summary: This study describes the diagnostic and surgical challenges of managing second trimester placenta percreta. The surgical technique for hysterectomy using minimally invasive approach is demonstrated in an educational video. The case of a 39-year-old female with acute abdominal pain is presented, along with the preoperative and postoperative management. The results suggest that total laparoscopic hysterectomy is a feasible and safe option for second trimester placenta percreta.

Summary: The study explored the reproductive outcomes of women with a history of cesarean scar pregnancy and analyzed the influence of various treatments on subsequent pregnancy outcomes. The results showed that women with a history of CSP still have a high pregnancy rate, but the risk of recurrent CSP and spontaneous miscarriage is increased. The effect of different treatments on subsequent pregnancy outcomes needs further assessment.

Summary: Recurrent Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) is more common than previously assumed, with no clear causal relationship or association found between the type of treatment of the previous CSP and recurrence. Patients who become pregnant after CSP treatment should be encouraged to have an early first-trimester transvaginal scan to determine the location of the gestation.

Summary: The study identified multiple parity, prior cesarean section, hysteroscopic therapy, and dilation and curettage after the last cesarean section as risk factors for type II/III cesarean scar pregnancy. Hysteroscopic therapy was found to be a safe and effective surgical approach with high success rates and favorable reproductive outcomes.

Summary: This study introduces a simple adjunct treatment called trophoblastic microcirculation occlusion (TMO) for patients with endogenous cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP). TMO treatment can convert high-risk electric vacuum aspiration into a routine surgical procedure and reduce complications associated with CSP surgery.

Summary: Cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy (CSP), a rare form of ectopic pregnancy, is being treated with uterine artery embolization (UAE) in China. A meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of this treatment. The results showed that the combination of UAE and other procedures has a high success rate and a low severe complication rate for CSP treatment.

Summary: Urinary tract injuries (UTI) are a common complication of morbidly adherent placenta (MAP) management. This study found that UTI occurred in 27.7% of patients, associated with increased blood loss, transfusion requirement, hospital stay, and need for additional surgeries. Rigid ureteral catheters and retrovesical dissection before hysterotomy were associated with lower incidence of ureteral injuries.

Summary: In pregnant women with PAS, planned cesarean delivery reduces the risk of blood loss exceeding 3500 ml compared to unplanned delivery. The presence of a specialist experienced in PAS management during surgery also lowers the risk of excessive blood loss. Conservative management is associated with less blood loss, but only if successful.

Summary: The study found that a high ratio of small (2-5 mm) basal antral follicles is a predictive factor for higher ovarian response to ovarian hyperstimulation. Small antral follicle count rather than whole antral follicle count may be beneficial for optimizing the ovarian response. Further research may determine the cutoff values of small antral follicle count for high/poor ovarian response.
