Summary: PDGFRA may not be necessary for PDGFA function. The study revealed EPHA2 as a potential receptor of PDGFA and identified that co-upregulation of PDGFA and EPHA2 led to worse patient prognosis and poorer therapeutic effects. Combination inhibitors targeting PDGFRA and EHA2 represent a promising therapeutic strategy for GBM treatment.

Summary: By applying a multiomic system approach, researchers identified DHODH as a potential treatment target for high-risk neuroblastoma. Inhibiting DHODH could significantly reduce tumor growth and improve survival rates. Combining the DHODH inhibitor brequinar with temozolomide showed promising therapeutic potential in neuroblastoma.

Summary: SMC4 is a member of the ATPase family of chromosomes and is involved in various biological functions such as compression and dissociation of sister chromatids, DNA damage repair, and transcription. It also plays a role in embryonic cell division cycle, immune response regulation, and tumor development. High expression of SMC4 is consistently associated with worse overall survival in tumors.

Summary: SLC1A4 expression in HCC is associated with prognosis, serving as an independent prognostic marker and being related to cell cycle, metabolism, and cancer-related pathways. Silencing SLC1A4 can inhibit proliferation, migration, cell cycle, and promote apoptosis in HCC cells, also affecting immune infiltration and chemokine expression. Additionally, potential sensitivity drugs for HCC patients with high-expressed SLC1A4 have been identified.

Summary: By analyzing gene expression profiles, enriching immune and metabolic pathways, and screening transcription factors, AEBP1, HOXB6, KLF2, and RORB were identified as potential biomarkers for endometriosis. Among them, KLF2 and HOXB6 were found to play crucial roles in the gene interaction network of endometriosis. Additionally, molecular docking revealed that goserelin and dienogest may target AEBP1, HOXB6, KLF2, and RORB.

Summary: This study aimed to identify novel circulating prognostic biomarkers for non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) based on miRNA/lncRNA-associated ceRNA network. Bioinformatic analysis identified MALAT1 and NEAT1 as miRNA sponges for hsa-miR-150-5p and hsa-miR-335-5p, respectively. Plasma levels of hsa-miR-150-5p/MALAT1 and hsa-miR335-5p/NEAT1 were significantly associated with aggressive and advanced disease, and were independent prognostic factors for NHL patients' overall survival and progression-free survival. Low levels of hsa-miR-150-5p and hsa-miR-335-5p combined with high levels of the respective lncRNA pair were associated with poor prognosis of NHL patients. These findings suggest that the analysis of ceRNA network expression levels may be a useful prognostic biomarker for NHL patients and could guide treatment decisions.

Summary: A prognostic ceRNA network was constructed for colorectal cancer, involving 11 key survival-related DElncRNAs, 54 DEmiRNAs, and 308 DEmRNAs. The MIR4435-2HG and ELFN1-AS1 were found to be associated with prognosis and tumor-infiltrating immune cell types, impacting the expression of target genes. These findings suggest their potential as prognostic biomarkers or therapeutic targets in colorectal carcinoma.
