Summary: This paper proposes a fuzzy logic system-based cross-layer design for MANET to improve network QoS parameters. The results of simulation studies show the improvements of the proposed system in terms of PDR and E2E delay. Compared to IEEE 802.11-based MANET, the use of FLS-CL achieves QoS improvements.

Summary: Due to the proliferation of cloud services, several service providers now offer functionally identical services with different levels of service quality. Offering a cloud assistance arrangement with optimum QoS estimates becomes a complicated task. This study proposes a novel approach using Genetic Algorithms and the Eagle Strategy algorithm to strike a balance between exploration and exploitation, achieving faster QoS-based Cloud Service Selection.

Summary: This study proposes a method that combines fuzzy logic, neural networks, and IWLS to enhance QoS performance in wireless networks. By dynamically modifying system settings and adjusting parameters, the system improves network performance. The addition of ANFIWLS to fuzzy logic provides more precise inference and decision-making capabilities, resulting in a 32.8% increase in QoS. The results of this research contribute to the development of more dependable and efficient QoS management systems for wireless communication networks.

Summary: This article proposes an adaptive composition mechanism leveraging Computation Tree Logic (CTL) specifications to ensure the compatibility of compositions with QoS variations. The composition is formalized as a temporal task, converted to CTL formulae with required functionalities and composite structures, and functional compatibility is interpreted through CTL semantics. A QoS Dependency Graph (QoSDG) is constructed to capture QoS variations, enabling adaptive composition with dynamic QoS satisfactions.

Summary: This study examined the availability and vulnerability of micronutrients in marine fish species in 157 countries using global assessments and fisheries catch data. The analysis showed that micronutrient availability and vulnerability varied greatly at a species level, with tropical species demonstrating greater resilience to climate change and overfishing. The study also found that countries with high prevalence of inadequate micronutrient intake tended to have nutrient-dense fish catches, but these fisheries were highly vulnerable to climate change.

Summary: This paper proposes an innovative access selection mechanism called REMNS to optimize the quality of experience (QoE) of IoT users in 5G heterogeneous networks. REMNS utilizes fuzzy logic for network pre-assessment and combines subjective-oriented Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and objective-oriented Entropy Weight Method (EWM) for preference evaluation to rapidly select networks and improve user QoE using a relative entropy based multi-service access selection algorithm.

Summary: Organismal development is a complex process characterized by reproducibility and tolerance despite its complexity, implying hidden simplicities. By studying natural phenotypic variation in fruit fly wings, researchers identified a highly constrained set of wing phenotypes that could be described by a single integrated mode. This work demonstrates the presence of constraints that funnel environmental inputs and genetic variation into phenotypes along a single axis in morphological space, providing insights into the robustness of complex forms and potential for evolutionary variations.

Summary: The paper systematically reviews existing service selection approaches in cloud computing, categorizing them into decision-making methods, meta-heuristic methods, and fuzzy-based methods. The findings suggest that proper weighting of criteria is crucial for service ranking accuracy in decision-making methods. Meta-heuristic algorithms offer advantages in solving the NP-hard problem of service selection, while fuzzy-based methods enhance user experience by visually presenting search results and covering QoS requirements.

Summary: This article discusses the problem of prescribed performance control for a class of affine nonlinear systems with state constraints. Fuzzy logic systems (FLSs) are used to handle unknown nonlinear functions. In addition, an additive transformation and one-to-one mapping method are introduced to solve the control problem of nonlinear systems with full-state constraints. Based on adaptive backstepping control, a new prescribed performance adaptive fuzzy control method is developed, which allows tracking error to be limited within the prescribed range and ensures that other state variables do not violate predefined constraints. Simulation examples verify the feasibility of this control method.
