Summary: Doxorubicin (DOX) is an effective chemotherapy drug for cancer treatment, but its clinical use is limited due to off-target toxicity. DOX accumulation in the liver and kidneys causes inflammation and oxidative stress, leading to cytotoxicity. Endurance exercise preconditioning may help prevent liver and kidney damage caused by DOX treatment.

Summary: The present study investigates the protective effects of resveratrol on brain and liver tissues in rats with pembrolizumab-induced toxicity. Resveratrol treatment reduced the levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substance and increased the activities of glutathione peroxidase, catalase, and superoxide dismutase, as well as the levels of glutathione. It also decreased the expression of caspase-3 protein and histopathological changes in the liver and brain tissues.

Summary: Long-term exposure to organophosphates, such as the pesticide malathion, can lead to neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's disease. Crocin, a component of saffron, has been found to have anti-apoptotic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. This study investigated the effects of crocin on the biochemical deficits induced by malathion in rat striatum tissue. The results showed that crocin could inhibit the toxic effects of malathion by its anti-apoptotic activity and regulation of proteins involved in Parkinson's disease pathogenesis.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of swimming exercise on oxidative stress and liver cell damage caused by electromagnetic radiation in rats. The results showed that swimming exercise attenuated the liver damage caused by electromagnetic radiation. In the electromagnetic radiation group, the activity of superoxide dismutase and catalase decreased significantly, and the concentration of malondialdehyde and liver enzymes increased significantly; while in the swimming exercise and electromagnetic radiation + swimming exercise groups, the activity of superoxide dismutase and catalase increased significantly, and the concentration of malondialdehyde and liver enzymes decreased significantly.

Summary: Insight into the neurotoxic effects of malathion and the potential impact of Aloe vera was investigated in this study. Malathion significantly altered body weight, brain weight, and levels of oxidative stress biomarkers. Pre-administration of Aloe vera ameliorated the neurotoxic effects of malathion.

Summary: Various clinical reports indicate that prolonged exposure to general anesthetic-induced neurotoxicity leads to behavior changes in memory and cognition. However, engineered miRNAs have shown potential in mitigating neurotoxicity and could be used as prophylactics and therapeutics. Challenges and feasibility of using miRNAs as therapeutic agents are discussed, along with updates on the novel neuro-miRNAs related to therapy against neurotoxicity induced by amyloid beta and Parkinson's disease.

Summary: This study revealed that 26.9 nm citrate-coated AgNPs can access the brain of mice, causing damage to brain conductivity and relative permittivity along with high cellular toxicity. The findings raise concerns about the neurotoxic effects of citrate-coated AgNPs on the brain and suggest further investigation into axonal relevant signal transduction levels in future studies.

Summary: Naringenin (NRG), a naturally occurring flavonoid found in citrus species and tomatoes, has various biological activities including antioxidant, antitumor, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiadipogenic, and cardioprotective effects. This study investigated the protective role of NRG against liver and brain toxicity induced by lead acetate in rats. The findings suggest that NRG has potential hepato- and neuroprotective effects against lead acetate toxicity.

Summary: This study found that the pathogen causing Cercospora leaf spot on sugar beet in Egypt has developed resistance to certain fungicides, but remains sensitive to others. The efficacy of fungicides was improved when used in combination with salicylic acid, but antagonistic effects were observed when certain fungicides were mixed together. Additionally, the study showed that combining multiple control strategies can increase yield and sucrose percentage.
