Summary: Research on the association between depressive symptoms and aggression among adolescents has yielded inconsistent findings. This study examines the prevalence of clinically significant and subthreshold depressive symptoms in a general population sample of adolescents from Northern Russia, and explores their relationship with aggression and anger, taking into account comorbid mental health problems. The results indicate that the severity of depression is positively correlated with anger, aggression, and comorbid problems. These findings suggest that interventions aimed at reducing aggressive behavior in adolescents should consider depression and its comorbid conditions.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of depressive symptoms and depression in children with Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and identify associated risk factors. The results showed a high prevalence of depressive symptoms and depression in JIA patients, which were significantly associated with disease activity, treatment response, and other factors. Therefore, early recognition and treatment of psychological distress are essential for preventing deterioration in quality of life and long-term prognosis in JIA patients.

Summary: This study aimed to analyze the network structure of symptom domains, depressive and anxiety symptoms, and general functioning in youths at clinical high risk for psychosis. The results showed a strong association between negative and disorganization symptoms, as well as dense connections among depressive and anxiety symptoms. Physical symptoms of anxiety played a bridging role. Positive symptoms were not associated with other nodes. The findings suggest the importance of targeting negative and disorganization symptoms, as well as depressive and anxiety symptoms, simultaneously.

Summary: The aim of this study is to determine the variation in levels of depressive and anxious symptomatology in children and adolescents in the North of Chile. The findings show an increase in symptomatology levels of depression, anxiety, social anxiety, and problems with the family, while a decrease in problems with school and peers was observed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study concludes that the transformation of social relation spaces and classrooms due to the pandemic has led to an increase in mental health problems among secondary school students, highlighting the need for improved coordination and integration of mental health professionals in educational centers and schools.

Summary: A large percentage of patients do not undergo comprehensive cognitive assessment after ECT, which poses a challenge in estimating post-ECT cognitive decline. There is a need to design inexpensive and sensitive tests for cognitive assessment. Due to the limited number of specialists in this field, the frequency of assessment and treatment methods after identifying cognitive disorders is heterogeneous. It is necessary to design a native and practical guideline.
