Summary: FRVE demonstrated significant antibacterial activity against Helicobacter pylori infection both in vitro and in animal studies. When combined with standard triple therapy, FRVE showed synergistic effects in reducing H. pylori colonization and improving gastric inflammation compared to single therapy. Additionally, the eradication rate of FRVE was higher than that of STT, suggesting its potential as an additional therapy for H. pylori infection.

Summary: As a natural aldehyde organic compound, cinnamaldehyde (CA) showed protective effects against zearalenone (ZEA)-induced apoptosis, barrier dysfunction, and mucin reduction in LS174T cells. CA significantly prevented the decline in cell viability, reversed the increase of the LDH level, cell cycle disruption, and apoptosis induced by ZEA. It also alleviated the reduction of mucin secretion and the expression of mucin 2 and tight junction proteins in LS174T cells caused by ZEA exposure. CA protects cells against ZEA-induced damage through the JNK/NF-kappa B signaling pathway.

Summary: The study found that Rhus verniciflua extract has a protective effect against obesity in mice by modulating liver steatosis, adipocyte metabolism, and BAT function. These modulations include reducing lipogenesis and adipogenesis, increasing mitochondrial biogenesis and thermogenesis markers, and influencing the recovery of PGC1 alpha deacetylation.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the nephroprotective activity of azilsartan on renal ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats. The results showed that azilsartan exhibited nephroprotective effects by exerting antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic activities, and inhibiting the HMGB1/NF-kappa B/p38/ERK1/2/JNK signaling pathway in rats with renal IR injury.

Summary: This study investigated the utilization of pre-heated Rhus verniciflua extract as a natural antioxidant to extend the shelf life of chicken breast meat. Pre-heating at 120 degrees C improved the antioxidant activity and total phenolic content of the extract, while removing the allergenic compound urushiol. Dipping the chicken breast meat in a 0.50% solution of the pre-heated extract showed promising results in terms of antioxidant activity, microbial growth inhibition, and maintenance of quality during storage.

Summary: This study found that Isoliquiritigenin (ISL) can inhibit microglia-mediated neuroinflammation in Parkinson's disease (PD) by deactivating JNK/AKT/NFκB signaling pathways. These findings suggest the therapeutic potential of ISL for microglia-mediated neuroinflammation in PD.

Summary: This study investigated the therapeutic role and mechanism of sinomenine (SIN) in Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MPP) induced pneumonia in an experimental mouse model. The results showed that SIN reduced inflammation and apoptosis, and reversed lung inflammation and fibrosis. Therefore, SIN may be a potential natural remedy for MPP.
