Summary: Two synthesis methods were developed for NU-87 zeolite, with aging method reducing crystallization time to 2.5 days and dual-templating method partially replacing expensive structure-directing agent. H-NU-87 zeolite showed higher selectivity to gasoline but shorter catalytic life in methanol to hydrocarbon reaction.

Summary: Research focuses on the synthesis of zeolites using new organic structure-directing agents (OSDA). Preparation of ITH-type zeolite with nonquaternary ammonium derivative of pyrrolidine and exploration of synthesis parameters' effects were conducted. ITH-type zeolites showed high crystallinity, hydrothermal stability, and catalytic properties in ketone conversion.

Summary: The study showed that the proper concentration of OH- in the synthetic mother liquor is the key factor to initiate the interzeolite transformation, and specific zeolitic phases can be expected through the structure-directing effect of inorganic and/or organic cations.

Summary: This study demonstrates the dispersion of zeolite NaY crystals on bamboo wood by mixing the wood with zeolite gel before hydrothermal treatment. The acid-refluxed wood shows better particle dispersion and higher zeolite content. The composite of NaY on the acid-refluxed wood exhibits higher adsorption capacity for Ni(II) ions in aqueous solutions.

Summary: Extra-large-pore zeolite ITT was synthesized using alkyl-substituted imidazolium templates. The structure of the zeolite, as well as its catalytic performance, was found to be influenced by the alkyl chain length and substitution number of the template. ITT exhibited better catalytic activity and selectivity compared to BEC, with the presence of 18-ring channels facilitating the diffusion of substrate and product molecules.

Summary: A FAU-X-rich porous monolith was prepared using an unconventional two-stage method involving foamed geopolymeric precursor production and subsequent hydrothermal conversion. The influence of conversion process parameters on FAU-X crystallization was investigated, and the highest yield was obtained at 60°C with a 0.5 M NaOH solution. Crystallization kinetics of FAU-X within the geopolymer precursor were studied using synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction quantitative phase analysis (SR-XRD-QPA). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis showed the presence of well-defined octahedral crystals after 3 days of hydrothermal treatment.

Summary: Dual templating is an effective strategy to create multiple inorganic functional materials with enhanced properties. In this study, chitosan is used as a thermally degradable biopolymer template to produce porous zinc oxide with internal nano pores, while simultaneously transforming chitosan into highly luminescent carbon dots. The synthesis process involves the nucleation of zinc oxide within the polymer network, followed by the growth of zinc oxide by engulfing the network into its crystalline structure. The polymer template is then thermally degraded and carbonized into carbon dots. The synthesized porous zinc oxide-chitosan composites are characterized by various techniques, and the shape and size of the pores are assessed by FIB-SEM analysis. Finally, the synthesized composites exhibit significantly enhanced antioxidant activity even at low concentrations.

Summary: Nitrogen and sulfur co-doped carbon materials have attracted much attention for their excellent sodium storage performance, but the traditional preparation process often involves toxic chemicals and harsh conditions. Therefore, researchers have proposed a simple, green self-templating synthesis method to successfully prepare high-performance NSC, demonstrating excellent sodium storage properties.

Summary: In this study, three series of zeolite catalysts, including Co all-silica and Co Al-containing zeolites beta, were prepared for the selective oxidative dehydrogenation of propane to propylene. The incorporation of cobalt into the zeolite framework was successfully achieved using a two-step postsynthesis method, resulting in the formation of isolated framework pseudo-tetrahedral Co(II) species. The characterization of cobalt species at different cobalt content was performed using various techniques, such as NMR, FTIR, and DR UV-vis.
