Summary: The study suggests that countries with higher GDP per capita in Europe tend to have lower rates of new COVID-19 cases, while countries with lower GDP per capita are more likely to experience higher changes in new COVID-19 cases. This indicates that a country's economic performance could be a critical factor in determining the rate of COVID-19 cases during the pandemic.

Summary: The aim of this paper is to analyze the stochastic convergence in per capita energy use in the EU-15 countries in the period 1970-2019. The research shows that 11 countries in the EU-15 exhibited a convergent pattern, while Ireland and Spain had persistent per capita energy use. The study also indicates that economic growth is a significant factor in per capita energy use for countries with convergent behavior.

Summary: This article examines the relationship between human capital, health spending, and economic growth, and empirically tests the convergence hypothesis. The results show that health expenditure convergence significantly contributes to growth convergence. Policymakers should consider the inclusiveness and effectiveness of health policies when formulating their economic policies.

Summary: This research examines the impact of health expenditure and sanitation on life expectancy in Mediterranean countries, taking into account other factors such as CO2 emissions and economic growth. Through the use of moment quantile regression, the study finds that economic growth, health expenditure, and sanitation have a positive effect on life expectancy across all quantiles. Additionally, CO2 emissions have a negative impact on life expectancy across all quantiles. The findings suggest that policymakers should implement effective environmental and public health measures to reduce CO2 emissions and promote economic expansion and productivity.

Summary: From 1990 to 2017, per capita nominal country gross domestic product (PCGDP) and gross domestic product at purchasing power parity (PCGDP-PPP) generally followed stretched exponential distributions, with beta values around 0.5-0.7 for PCGDP and close to 1 for PCGDP-PPP. Following the 2008-2009 global financial crisis, PCGDP-PPP SED appeared to converge to an exponential distribution, indicating a possible link between economic trade and energy conservation in elastic collisions. The use of PCGDP-PPP as a more accurate and stable measurement of average economic activity across countries may be reinforced compared to nominal or market values.

Summary: The research study examines the discharges of domestic wastewater from 15 single-family dwellings, providing valuable insights into the concentrations, volumes, and pollutant loads. The data variability is quantified, suggesting the use of a load range instead of standard pollution values for designing the load of single-family households. The study also advocates for a collective sewer solution and provides pollution values per resident for optimizing the operation of decentralized wastewater treatment plants.

Summary: This study examines the relationship between disaggregated energy use, human development, trade openness, economic growth, urbanization, and sustainability index in OECD countries from 2014 to 2019. The study employs static, quantile, and dynamic panel data approaches. The findings indicate that fossil fuels have a negative impact on sustainability, while alternative energy sources contribute positively to sustainable socioeconomic development. It is noteworthy that alternative energy sources have a strong influence on socioeconomic sustainability in different quantiles. Additionally, human development index and trade openness enhance sustainability, while urbanization poses challenges in achieving sustainability goals within OECD countries. Policymakers should prioritize mitigating fossil fuels and urbanization and promoting human development, trade openness, and alternative energy sources in order to achieve sustainable development.

Summary: This paper presents a novel approach for evaluating the performance of the industrial sector in terms of sustainability and circular economy. The proposed methodology involves constructing an Industrial Sustainability Index and four sub-indices to evaluate different aspects of industrial sustainability and circular economy interventions. It also includes a scenario-based evaluation to measure the gap between statistical observations and efficient solutions. The approach has been tested on 36 OECD countries and provides policymakers with valuable insights for identifying weaknesses and best practices.

Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of health expenditures on health outcomes in OECD countries. The findings show that health expenditures have a negative impact on infant mortality while positive on life expectancy. The study suggests the need for proper utilization of health expenditures and improvements in health policies to increase investment in health technology, as well as focusing on economic and environmental measures for long-lasting health outcomes.

Summary: The study investigates the convergence pattern of per capita aggregate energy consumption among 30 Chinese provinces from 1990 to 2017. The results show that the full sample of provinces cannot converge to a common level in per capita energy consumption, but partial convergence can be achieved with energy consumption reduction in specific provinces. Suggestions are made for high energy-consuming provinces to make efforts in reducing energy consumption to achieve convergence.

Summary: The purpose of this study is to expand the current understanding of pollutant convergence by examining per capita non-methane volatile organic compound emissions in 20 OECD countries from 1820 to 2019. It is one of the first attempts to investigate this area. The study investigates the convergence of emissions across sectors and uses various regression methods to analyze stochastic, conditional, and sigma convergence. The results show support for the existence of convergence and provide policy implications for reducing emissions.

Summary: Green growth involves combining environmental and social protection with economic growth. OECD countries have made progress towards greening through a set of indicators. Success towards green growth was measured using various indicators, showing an increase in stimulant indicators and a decrease in destimulant variables over the analyzed periods. Despite some uncertainty, there were positive signals for environmental protection and public health, with an increase in GDP and a decrease in mortality from exposure to PM2.5.

Summary: This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the competitiveness of sugar industry products in the EAEU member states. The main objectives are to determine the profitability of sugar factories and assess the competitiveness of sugar industry products. The research utilizes evaluation and comparative analysis methods using statistical data. Differential product competitiveness indicators, such as price, market sales volume, relative export advantage (RXA), relative import advantage (RMA), and relative trade advantage (RTA) are used to evaluate the competitiveness of sugar industry products.
