Summary: The study found that irisin significantly promoted odontogenic differentiation and angiogenesis in HDPCs, as well as significantly increased cell migration. Phosphorylation of MAPK and Akt was increased by irisin, and inhibitors of these pathways inhibited mineralization and expression of odontogenic and angiogenic markers.

Summary: This study constructed amelogenin self-assembling peptide hydrogels and investigated their effects on the odontogenic differentiation of human dental pulp cells (HDPCs). The results showed that the D-gel exhibited the strongest enhancement effects and induced odontogenic differentiation through the MAPK-ERK1/2 and transforming growth factor/smad pathways. This study demonstrated the potential of amelogenin peptide hydrogel in dentine-pulp complex regeneration.

Summary: The study demonstrates that aerobic glycolysis is induced during odontoblastic differentiation from human DPSCs, with upregulation of protein expression levels of PFKM and PFK2 mainly mediated by AKT activation. This increased PFK activity is essential for enhancing aerobic glycolysis, which plays a crucial role in odontoblastic differentiation of human DPSCs. These findings suggest that PFK activation-induced aerobic glycolysis accompanies and participates in the differentiation of human DPSCs into odontogenic lineage, potentially influencing dental pulp repair.

Summary: This study investigates the effect of Biodentine(TM) on odonto/osteogenic differentiation potential of hDPSCs in vitro. The results show that treatment with BD significantly increases the expression of odonto/osteogenic markers, upregulates genes related to the odonto/osteogenesis pathway, and enhances calcium deposits, suggesting BD as a promising candidate for regenerative medicine in dental tissue regeneration.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of Tideglusib on the proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and odonto/osteogenic differentiation of human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs). The results showed that Tideglusib promoted the odonto/osteogenic differentiation of hDPSCs by activating the Wnt signaling pathway, but had no significant effects on cell proliferation, apoptosis, and migration.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the role of CARMN in the odontogenic differentiation of dental pulp cells (DPCs). CARMN expression was found to be higher in odontoblasts compared to DPCs. Overexpression of CARMN enhanced odontogenic differentiation, while its inhibition impaired the process. CARMN functioned by interacting with EZH2 and impairing its activity. The findings suggest that CARMN acts as a modulator in the odontogenic differentiation of DPCs by regulating EZH2.

Summary: IL-37 enhances the osteogenic and odontogenic differentiation ability of dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) without affecting their proliferation, and also activates cell autophagy. Activation of autophagy promotes osteogenesis and odontogenesis of DPSCs, while inhibition of autophagy suppresses their differentiation.

Summary: The study investigated the effect of different types of Si3N4 granules on rat dental pulp cells and found that sintered Si3N4 granules significantly promoted cell attachment, upregulated odontogenic marker genes, and enhanced mineralization nodule formation. The sintering process positively altered the surface properties of Si3N4 granules and facilitated odontogenic differentiation, suggesting potential clinical applications in dentistry.

Summary: Regenerative endodontics is gaining attention as an alternative approach to regenerate dental pulp-like tissues. Stem cells and their microenvironment play a crucial role in pulp regeneration. A compound called salidroside has been found to have various protective effects, but its ability to regulate the osteogenic/odontogenic differentiation of human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) is still unclear.

Summary: This in vitro study investigated the effects of different bioactive root-end filling materials on the osteo/odontogenic differentiation and viability of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from porcine tooth germs. The results showed that all tested materials supported cell proliferation and maintained cell viability. Osteo/odontogenic differentiation of MSCs was promoted by the materials, with Pure Portland Cement demonstrating the highest activity.
