Summary: The study on the two-child fertility intention of women of childbearing age in Lanzhou under the comprehensive two-child policy reveals that women are relatively willing to have a second child. Factors influencing this intention include common willingness of couples, feelings of loneliness with one child, family support, and national policy encouragement.

Summary: The present study fills the gap in positive psychological research by examining the cross-cultural assessment of affective well-being among adolescents. The Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE) showed partial scalar invariance across cultures, with stronger correlations between positive and negative emotions in Serbia compared to Poland and India. There were differences in affective well-being levels among adolescents from different countries, with Polish adolescents demonstrating the lowest levels.

Summary: Economic progress has prompted greater attention to happiness, leading to the creation of various indicators, with the OECD's Better Life Index being one of the most famous. This study divided the 20 indicators of the Better Life Index into four categories (economic, environmental, social, and well-being) using the entropy method and analyzed the efficiency performance of 34 OECD member countries from 2013 to 2017 in order to assess their residents' happiness and sustainable development.

Summary: Women with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions may experience reduced fertility. A genetic variant in TNFAIP3, a negative regulator of inflammation, has been found to be associated with infertility. This variant decreases the activation threshold of inflammatory response and affects reproductive system, mammary gland development, and insulin resistance. This study highlights the potential link between heightened immunity and reduced fertility.

Summary: The decision-making process of seeking medical help for infertility is influenced by various factors such as socio-demographic, economic, reproductive history, attitudes, and psychological factors. There is social inequality in access to treatments in multiple countries. Research in this area is heterogeneous and fragmented, with differences in study design and country-specific factors complicating comparisons of findings. More studies from diverse countries and theoretical frameworks are needed for a systematic understanding of the factors influencing decisions about medical help-seeking for infertility.

Summary: This study aimed to replicate the three-factor structure of life satisfaction in a Spanish-speaking general population and explore the relationships between past, present, and future life satisfaction and affective components of subjective wellbeing. Findings revealed that all participants showed higher levels of present life satisfaction than past life satisfaction, and older respondents had higher levels of present life satisfaction than future life satisfaction. Significant correlations were found between mood and temporal life satisfaction.

Summary: The potential effects of social media on well-being have been extensively researched, but previous studies have mainly focused on demographics in developed countries and inaccurate self-reports of social media use. This study examines the relationship between Facebook adoption in 72 countries and the well-being of 946,798 individuals from 2008 to 2019. The findings show that there is no evidence to suggest that the global penetration of social media is associated with widespread psychological harm. Facebook adoption predicts positive impacts on life satisfaction and positive experiences, as well as negative impacts on negative experiences, both across and within countries over time. However, the observed associations are small and do not reach a conventional 97.5% one-sided credibility threshold in all cases. Facebook adoption has a more positive effect on well-being for younger individuals, but the results vary across different countries. To gain a better understanding of the role of social media in people's lives and its potential causal effects, it is necessary to have transparent collaborative research between independent scientists and the technology industry.

Summary: The study found a general decline in fertility rates across the Nordic region during the 2010s, starting from the economic recession in 2008. The fertility rate developments across countries showed greater heterogeneity post-1990, then became more similar after 2008. The impact of educational differences on fertility rates varied between different time periods.

Summary: Since its outbreak, the COVID-19 pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2 has had a significant impact on global health and daily life. While primarily affecting the respiratory system, the virus can also infect other vital organs and tissues, including the reproductive system. Limited research is available on the consequences of COVID-19 on fertility and pregnancy. However, existing data suggests that pregnant women are a vulnerable group at increased risk of complications. Furthermore, COVID-19 infection has been associated with premature birth and neonatal admissions. Understanding the effects of COVID-19 vaccination on reproduction is also important.

Summary: This study reveals that the perception of resilience to job loss is a more powerful predictor of fertility intentions compared to perception of employment stability. The relationship between resilience and fertility intentions remains strong regardless of individual risk attitudes and external factors such as unemployment rate and type of employment contracts. The notion of employment uncertainty encompasses different expectations about the future, which play a crucial role in fertility decision-making.

Summary: This study investigates the relationship between personality traits and fertility, taking into account other important life events. Using data from the German Socio-Economic Panel survey, the researchers apply multichannel sequence analysis and a clustering algorithm to group individuals with similar experiences, and use multinomial regression to analyze the relationship between clusters and personality traits. The study also develops a method to include individuals with truncated trajectories. The findings show that personality traits are related to various life-course trajectories, including fertility.

Summary: This study examines the impact of non-pharmaceutical policy interventions (NPIs) on individuals' mental well-being (MWB) in 28 European countries during the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings suggest that restrictions on international travel, private gatherings, and workplace closures are associated with lower MWB, while internal movement restrictions and public events cancellations are associated with higher MWB. Furthermore, the study reveals that women, individuals with children, and Western-Europeans experience different levels of MWB under various NPIs.
