Summary: The study investigates an integrated solar energy system combined with a ground-sourced heat pump system for stand-alone use in residential buildings. Three types of building-integrated photovoltaic plant orientations are considered and combined with a ground-sourced heat pump system, an electrolyser for hydrogen-based energy storage, and fuel cells. The system is assessed for different cities globally and the results show the required photovoltaic plant power for a 20-floor building in different cities. The overall energy and exergy efficiencies are analyzed, and in some cases, self-sufficiency is achieved using building's surface area for photovoltaic installations.

Summary: Humanity's increasing demands for food and energy are driving the need for higher yields from our land. However, this doesn't have to be a zero-sum game if we can co-generate food and energy on the same land. By manipulating light, we can potentially improve land and water efficiencies and enhance soil health. Additionally, further research is needed to determine the optimal light treatments for different crops and climates.

Summary: Hydrogen can be transported over long distances using Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHC), which involves storing hydrogen in LOHC molecules and releasing it as needed. Different hydrogen transport options have varying energy consumption and costs, with LOHC favored for long-distance transport and pipelines preferred for shorter distances. Factors such as heat supply method and specific characteristics of different LOHCs need to be considered in determining the most cost-effective transport solution.

Summary: An integrated system is designed to produce renewable hydrogen and blend it with natural gas for countrywide utilization. Adding 20% hydrogen by volume to natural gas increases blend gas consumption, decreases natural gas consumption, and increases the lifetime of proven reserves. Additionally, the combustion emissions of CO and CO2 decrease, while NOx emissions increase with the addition of hydrogen.

Summary: Green hydrogen is seen as crucial for long-term decarbonization of global energy system. Regions with limited land resources will need to import green hydrogen from regions abundant in renewable energy. This poses sustainability concerns for producing countries. The paper reviews renewable energy deployment in the electricity sector and explores opportunities and risks of green hydrogen production in exporting countries. It emphasizes the importance of addressing issues like freshwater and land availability and developing international standards for hydrogen-related projects.

Summary: The crystal structure of Poly(heptazine imide) (PHI) polymers has been found to directly correlate with their photocatalytic production of hydrogen (H-2). By synthesizing polymeric carbon nitride materials with different crystal plane ratios, high specific surface area, and enhanced light response, and co-polymerizing organic monomers in a KCl/LiBr molten salt medium, it was discovered that charge carrier dynamics and electron mobility govern the photoactivity of PHI.
