Summary: The aim of this study was to compare the physicochemical properties and biocompatibility between various calcium silicate-based bioceramic sealers (CSBSs) and the epoxy resin-based sealer AH Plus (AHP). The physical properties of CSBSs, including flow, setting time, radiopacity, dimensional stability, and pH, were evaluated according to the ISO 6876 standards. The biocompatibility of CSBSs was found to be higher than that of AHP, as assessed through cytotoxicity and cell attachment assays.

Summary: The objective of this study was to assess the attitude of dental practitioners towards the usage of bioceramic endodontic sealers in their clinical practice. A survey-based study was conducted and data from 164 respondents were analyzed using SPSS 26. Significant differences were found in the application of bioceramic sealers based on the type of acquired specialty, endodontic obturation technique, and final irrigation solution. Majority of the respondents did not feel the need to change the endodontic obturation technique to adopt the usage of bioceramic sealers.

Summary: This study compared the apical seal provided by two bioceramic sealers (Endoseal and Endosequence) with that provided by a calcium hydroxide sealer (Sealapex), and evaluated the effect of different obturation techniques (cold lateral condensation, continuous wave compaction and single cone) on the apical seal under a stereomicroscope. The results showed that Endosequence with continuous wave compaction technique produced the best apical seal, while Endoseal with bioceramic-coated single cone technique also demonstrated good sealing ability. For Sealapex sealer, the most effective apical seal was observed using cold lateral condensation technique. The quality and effectiveness of apical seal differed with the type of endodontic sealer and obturation technique used.
