Summary: The study developed an individualized risk calculator for ADHD in VP/VLBW newborns, which showed good performance in identifying high-risk children at 6 years old. This tool could offer more effective early intervention compared to traditional approaches.

Summary: This study explored the impact of the severity of prematurity on the course of parental perinatal depression (PND). Results revealed that mothers of more seriously premature infants had a higher risk of PND in the first trimester, but showed improvement over time.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of severity of prematurity on the course of parental perinatal depression (PND). Findings revealed a general decrease in PND levels over time. In terms of birth weight and parental role, parents of extremely low birth weight (ELBW) infants showed higher PND levels in the early stages, but experienced a greater reduction in symptoms over time.

Summary: This study retrospectively evaluated the outcomes of cardiovascular surgery in very low birth weight patients. The study found that the occurrence of postoperative intracerebral hemorrhage was significantly higher in low birth weight patients compared to slightly higher weight patients. The early and late mortality rates were also higher in the low birth weight group. Early surgery was acceptable for simple lesions, while delayed surgery may provide better long-term outcomes for complex lesions.

Summary: Prematurity, low birth weight, genetic syndromes, extracardiac conditions, and secondary cardiac lesions are considered high-risk conditions associated with mortality after stage 1 palliation. The presence of a single high-risk diagnosis is not associated with decreased survival at 1 year, but cumulative diagnoses across multiple high-risk diagnostic categories are associated with decreased odds of survival. Further patient accrual is needed to evaluate the impact of specific comorbid conditions within the broader high-risk categories.

Summary: Placenta previa, multiple gestations, and placental abruption were identified as the strongest risk factors for extreme preterm birth. Risk factors including placental abruption and previa, lack of prenatal care, and recurrent pregnancy loss were observed in sub-populations with multiple gestations, previous PTB, and indicated PTBs. Placental abruption emerged as the most significant risk factor across all groups, with no significant differences observed between sub-populations.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence, risk factors, and outcomes of acute kidney injury (AKI) in very low birth weight (VLBW) infants. The study found that 21% of VLBW infants developed AKI, and the use of vasopressors, patent ductus arteriosus, and bloodstream infection were significantly associated with AKI. AKI was also independently associated with neonatal mortality.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the association between parental age and the risks of term low birth weight and macrosomia. The results suggest that both maternal and paternal age are significantly associated with these risks. Additionally, parental education levels are also correlated with term low birth weight and macrosomia.

Summary: LSV is common in very-low-birth-weight preterm infants, with linear-type presentation being most common. Perinatal characteristics, placental pathologies, and neonatal morbidities were similar between infants with and without LSV, but prolonged oxygen usage was identified as an independent risk factor for late-onset LSV development. Further research on the long-term clinical impacts of LSV is needed.

Summary: The study found that maternal pre-pregnancy obesity is associated with an increased risk of low birth weight, fetal growth restriction, and macrosomia in newborns. Additionally, the risk of macrosomia was three times higher for obese mothers, while the risk of low birth weight was 17 times higher, particularly in the subgroup of normal gestational weight gain. The risk profile showed that higher BMI values were associated with a higher risk of these outcomes, with specific threshold BMI values identified.

Summary: The study compared three indicators for secretory activation in mothers of very low birth weight infants and found no correlation in the time to secretory activation between indicators. Earlier volume attainment was associated with increased milk production, and frequent expression in the first 5 days postpartum may promote earlier secretory activation.

Summary: The high neonatal and infant mortality rate in India is partly due to the growing number of preterm and low birth weight infants, who are more susceptible to diseases due to their immature immune systems. Despite the recommendation for routine childhood vaccinations for all babies, many preterm and low birth weight infants in India experience delays in vaccination. Awareness campaigns may help address barriers to vaccination in this vulnerable population.

Summary: The rice farming industry in Asia is influenced by global urbanization, rapid industrialization, and climate change. Research has shown that plant nitrogen and chlorophyll content in rice are significantly influenced by the interaction between water and fertilizer. Using UAV images to analyze vegetation indices can help predict the nutrition state of rice, and differences in field cumulative nitrogen can be used to diagnose nitrogen topdressing needs during the panicle initiation stage.

The results showed that psychological pain was a risk factor for suicidality in MDD patients, especially for those of advancing age. Reducing psychological pain in MDD patients is important for preventing suicidality.

The results showed that FA was significantly associated with PTSS and functional impairment. Baseline FA partially mediated the relationship between baseline PTSS and functional impairment. Changes in FA from pre- to post-treatment were associated with relevant outcome variables at post-treatment and 12-month follow-up.
