Summary: This study examines the extended effects of corporate (ir)responsibilities in supply chains, comparing the impact of social and environmental initiatives and failures in the reputational capital of supply chain partners. The findings suggest that consumers perceive social irresponsibility cases as more severe than environmental ones, penalizing buyers' corporate image, corporate credibility-expertise and word-of-mouth. The study highlights the importance of considering sustainability issues in supplier selection decisions.

Summary: The study found that respondents who discount the future more heavily are less likely to plan a home energy retrofit, very risk-averse respondents are less likely to have experienced a home energy retrofit, and very risk-seeking ones are more likely to plan a home energy retrofit. Additionally, those seriously concerned about environmental issues or who strongly respond to moral norms are likely to have experienced or plan a home energy retrofit.

Summary: This paper explores how game players' behavior preferences influence strategy choices and equilibrium results in extreme disputes of large-scale engineering projects. By establishing a three-party game model, the paper discusses the impact of loss aversion preference and fairness preference on decision outcomes, and deduces equilibrium results for four different types of extreme disputes.

Summary: Social sustainability is a crucial factor in supplier selection, with dimensions such as employee welfare and philanthropy playing key roles. Buyers prefer to collaborate with suppliers who demonstrate desirable levels of employee welfare, philanthropy, and pricing. However, the impact of these factors on supplier selection varies in practical significance.

Summary: This paper presents a methodology for green supplier selection that considers both qualitative and quantitative criteria, using thermodynamic features such as energy, exergy and entropy. The main advantage of this method is that it takes into account the quality of ratings assigned by experts. It is not only effective in green supplier selection, but also useful for resource allocation and scheduling of supplier training programs.

Summary: Decision makers' behavioral preferences are crucial in coordinating supply chains. Proper partner selection is necessary to enhance the profitability of the entire supply chain, particularly in a competitive e-commerce setting. This paper investigates a two-echelon e-commerce supply chain with a retailer and a supplier, utilizing a commonly used wholesale price contract to facilitate collaboration. The traditional expectation model fails to coordinate the supply chain. By applying the focus theory of choice, the paper outlines the retailer's behavior as a follower and examines the impact of their pricing decisions, under different focus preferences, on the supplier and overall supply chain coordination.

Summary: We examine the strategies of an e-commerce platform in selecting a supplier and deciding whether to provide information. The platform is more likely to disclose information when the cost ratio of the inside supplier is high, while it prefers the inside supplier when the ratio is low. Market competition is softened in both decisions.

Summary: Corporate actions to tackle climate change are influenced by various tensions, and the use of translation theory can help inform paradox theory in understanding how these tensions become salient. Through a qualitative case-study research design, it is shown that retail employees act as translators in comparing the manufacturer's decarbonization strategy to their context, making tensions salient in a context-dependent manner. Additionally, translators apply different contextualization mechanisms to resolve tensions between the new strategy and contextual factors, with some instances where the translation fails and tensions persist.

Summary: This article examines the ethical framing of modern slavery in UK construction and how it has hindered the establishment of a common framework for action. The study reveals that actors bring their own moral schemes to justify and legitimize their frames, leading to the emergence of different frames with varying normative evaluations and recommendations for action. The research highlights the interplay of morally competing frames in shaping the meaning and response to modern slavery.

Summary: More than 50 million people are estimated to be in modern slavery, many of whom work in industries such as mining and agriculture. The Fair Food Programme, implemented in the tomato growing industry in Immokalee, Florida, successfully tackles modern slavery through joint action between farmers, buyers, and workers. An agent-based model shows that the success of the programme depends on the heterogeneity of farmer and buyer sizes, and discusses the transferability of the programme to other contexts.

Summary: Global sourcing mainly comes from emerging markets and developing economies, where sustainability effects in supply chains can be optimized through understanding sourcing contexts. The case study of South Africa's mining sector reveals that social sustainability is influenced by the Social and Labour Plan institution, but faces challenges due to weakening factors causing institutional uncertainty. While state actors and mining companies drive this uncertainty, non-state actors counterbalance it and push towards mainstreaming sustainability practices. This study contributes to business ethics by exploring institutional uncertainty and actor dynamics in promoting sustainability in EMDEs.

Summary: The asymmetric market power between a firm and its partners negatively affects the firm's financial performance. Building relationships with suppliers or customers that have matched market power is the best approach. The strength of the buyer-supplier relationship amplifies the negative impact of asymmetric market power, while the level of relationship embeddedness reduces its negative effect. Moreover, firm-specific institutional, industry, and regional economic heterogeneities also influence the financial impact of asymmetric market power.
