Summary: With improved cancer therapies, survival rates of adolescent and young adult patients have increased. However, the gonadotoxic nature of many chemotherapeutic agents limit fertility preservation options. Advancements have been made in oncofertility, particularly vitrification of oocytes, but health disparities hinder access to and utilization of fertility preservation.

Summary: This study assessed the presence of oncofertility content on fertility clinic websites and examined the relationship with clinic characteristics. The majority of clinic websites included oncofertility-related keywords, with large clinics more likely to mention these keywords. Further research is needed to understand the impact of oncofertility content on clinic websites.

Summary: Oncofertility refers to medical interventions aimed at preserving fertility for cancer patients, particularly those undergoing treatments that can harm reproductive cells. This review focuses on oncofertility in pediatric and adolescent populations, analyzing methods used, financing, ethical considerations, and patient perspectives. Funding for these procedures varies by country, and controversies arise regarding decisions, parental beliefs, ethical dilemmas, and healthcare professionals' knowledge and experience. Healthcare professionals must strive to assist young cancer patients in realizing their reproductive plans and desires for a family. The development of systemic solutions is crucial for advancing oncofertility in this population.

Summary: Cancer and oncologic therapies can adversely impact male reproductive potential, leading to infertility. Fertility preservation has become a key issue in survivorship, but remains a challenge for certain groups such as prepubertal boys and men who cannot produce sperm. Experimental approaches offer hope for additional pathways in successful fertility preservation care for these patients.

Summary: The gender diverse and transgender community is increasingly encountered in clinical settings due to improved awareness and access to medical facilities. Gender-affirming therapy can have an impact on fertility potential, and transgender patients should be counseled on fertility preservation options prior to transitioning. However, there is limited data and clinical information on fertility preservation for transgender individuals. Understanding this clinical agenda and the processes involved is important for providing comprehensive and specific care for transgender individuals who need fertility counseling or treatment options.

Summary: Oncofertility is a new field that brings together various disciplines to care for oncology patients who are at risk of fertility issues due to treatment. However, there is limited research on the provision of this care and the training of healthcare professionals, as well as patient outcomes. The role of the oncofertility patient navigator is to provide timely information and support for fertility risk and preservation options. This paper aims to define the role of the navigator and provide a framework for improving reproductive care for cancer patients.

Summary: This study demonstrates that oocyte cryopreservation is a feasible and efficient option for fertility preservation in cancer patients, based on the comparison with nononcological patients undergoing in vitro fertilization treatments. The results show that cancer patients who undergo oocyte cryopreservation have a high pregnancy rate and birth rate, indicating the effectiveness of this method in preserving fertility.

Summary: In this study, three different modes of testosterone (T) administration (subcutaneous injections, commercially available pellets, and silastic implants) were compared in terms of their release dynamics and pharmacokinetic profiles in mice. The results showed that all three methods were able to increase T levels in plasma, but had different recovery speeds after cessation of treatment. Silastic implants provided sustained elevation of T levels for at least 21 weeks.

Summary: This qualitative study explored the range of attitudes and approaches to mental health evaluation among providers of gender-affirming hormones (GAH) in the United States. The findings revealed variations in providers' perspectives, with some advocating for universal mental health evaluation and others seeing it as a barrier to care. Providers' views were primarily influenced by their understanding of transgender identity and transition, as well as their interpretation of the risk of significant mental illness associated with being transgender.

Summary: After pausing testosterone in a transgender mouse model, estrous cyclicity resumes but with ovarian stromal aberrations and upregulated inflammation. The impact of taking and pausing testosterone on the ovaries is not fully understood.
