The influence of hydrostatic pressure on the corrosion behavior of 90/10 copper-nickel alloy in 3.5% NaCl solution under alternating dry and wet conditions has been investigated using weight loss, SEM/EDS, XRD, XPS, EIS, etc. Results show that high pressure has a promoting effect on the corrosion of the alloy during the studied immersing period and inhibits the redeposition process of the alloy. The corrosion process of the alloy and the influence of hydrostatic pressure have been discussed.
