Summary: TEMPI syndrome is a rare and newly defined multisystemic disease, and its etiology, pathogenesis, and clinical features are largely unknown. Missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis are common due to its diverse and hidden clinical manifestations. Recent studies have reported special clinical manifestations and attempted to identify the pathogenesis of TEMPI syndrome.

Summary: This study described the clinical presentation and imaging features of deep retinal haemorrhages in the Henle fibre layer (HFL), and proposed the term 'Henle fiber layer hemorrhage (HH)' to describe this condition. The haemorrhages were associated with various disorders and often resolved spontaneously within 3 months in patients with follow-up.

Summary: Tuberculosis is a common infectious disease that has been prevalent for centuries and causes a significant number of deaths each year. Cutaneous tuberculosis, a manifestation of the disease on the skin, can be challenging to diagnose and confirm. Dermatologists play a crucial role in early recognition and treatment of this condition.

Summary: Systemic sclerosis is a rare and complex immune-mediated connective tissue disease characterized by progressive skin fibrosis and other clinically heterogeneous features. Recent studies on autoantibodies and bioinformatic analyses have led to a reconsideration of the classification of systemic sclerosis subgroups based on skin manifestations. Early diagnosis and involvement of dermatologists are crucial for improving patient outcomes.

Summary: Physical urticaria is a type of urticaria characterized by recurrent wheals and/or angioedema after exposure to physical stimuli. It can be triggered by mechanical, thermal, or solar electromagnetic radiation. Differentiating physical urticaria from other chronic urticarias requires clinical assessment and provocation testing for accurate management. This review summarizes the epidemiology, clinical features, pathogenesis, diagnostic work-up, and management of physical urticaria.

Summary: This study found bacterial colonization in keloids and hypertrophic scars, and the differences in the species and number of colonizing bacteria may cause the heterogeneity of clinical manifestations. The pathogenicity and athletic ability of colonizing bacteria were positively correlated with the degree of hyperplasia and invasions of scars.

Summary: This study suggests that M1 and M2 macrophages play important roles in the pathogenesis of keloid formation. Keloid formation might be a result of an abnormal response to tissue injury with excessive entry of inflammatory cells, including macrophages, into the wound, and the incidence of keloid might be related to a decrease in M1 and an increase in M2.

Summary: Both asthma and COPD are characterized by airway obstruction, but ACO is not a single disease. Rather, it is a term used clinically to describe overlapping clinical phenotypes of chronic airways disease with different underlying mechanisms. Understanding the pathology of ACO, specifically the airway remodeling changes and inflammation aspects, is crucial for better management.

Summary: Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) is an important adverse event that can range from mild enzyme elevations to severe liver failure or death. Different types of DILI and the role of the immune system in its pathogenesis have been identified. The diagnosis of DILI remains a challenge due to varying biochemical profiles and multiple clinical signatures of different drugs. Multicenter studies and public websites have provided tools for physicians to investigate suspected DILI cases.

Summary: CIDP patients with autoantibodies represent a minority with distinct pathogenic mechanisms, histopathology, clinical manifestations, and therapeutic responses compared to those without autoantibodies. Therefore, CIDP with autoantibodies should be considered as an independent disease entity rather than just a subtype of CIDP.
