One-pot synthesis of a variety of amides including sterically hindered amides from primary amides catalyzed by cesium fluoride has been developed for the first time. Primary amides provided sterically hindered amides in good yields (up to 86%), by transamidation, catalyzed by cesium fluoride, after a simple Boc-activation.
