Summary: A micellar liquid chromatographic method was developed for the separation and analysis of four anti-viral drugs. The method utilized a Thermo Hypersil ODS C18 HPLC column with an isocratic elution mode. By optimizing four factors simultaneously using Design Expert 8 software, a quadratic D-optimal model was created to achieve maximum resolution between peaks and minimize run time. The method was found to be linear and successfully applied to the analysis of the drugs in tablets.

Summary: Four simple, sensitive, economical, and eco-friendly spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric methods have been developed for the assay of erdosteine (ERD). These methods showed linear relationships between the measured signals and the corresponding concentrations of ERD. The suggested methods were successfully applied to ERD analysis in pure form and in commercial capsules, and they also described the determination of ERD spectrofluorimetrically for the first time in the literature.

Summary: This study presents the fabrication of a modified graphite electrode with cobalt oxide nanoparticles for potentiometric determination of Sulfacetamide sodium. The addition of nanoparticles improved the sensitivity and selectivity of the electrode, as well as its operational lifespan. The functionalized nano-electrode showed increased sensitivity compared to the classical electrode, with a wide linear range and low detection limit. The proposed method was successfully applied to analyze Sulfacetamide sodium in various samples, without interference from co-formulated drugs or excipients. The method was found to be comparable to the reported method and showed environmental sustainability.

Summary: In this study, a coupled enzymatic fluorimetric assay was developed for the quantification of NAA in biological samples. The assay involves the removal of aspartate using strong cation exchange column, hydrolysis of NAA by aspartoacylase and oxidation of released aspartate by L-aspartate oxidase. The generated H2O2 is then measured using peroxidase in a fluorimetric assay with Ampliflu Red. The assay is sensitive, cost-effective and suitable for large-scale quantification of NAA in biological samples.
