Summary: The objective of this pre-feasibility study was to examine perceptions and experiences of the Sit-to-stand activity among elderly Brazilians living in their homes in urban areas. The exploratory ethnographic method was used, recruiting 20 elderly participants through intentional sampling. The findings revealed that the experience of elderly individuals with mobility problems in performing the Sit-to-stand activity depended on their expectations and various coordinated factors that influenced their beliefs, attitudes, preferences, behaviors, and cultural perceptions. Therefore, recommendations were made for the development of Sit-to-stand intervention strategies tailored to the specific needs of this population.

Summary: The study investigated the effect of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy on esophageal cancer and found that the Becker tumor regression grade is associated with lymphatic permeation and vascular invasion. However, it is not correlated with lymph node regression rate. Patients with lower lymphatic permeation and vascular invasion have higher overall survival, suggesting that the Becker tumor regression grade system is useful in predicting treatment response.

It concludes that current school coexistence does not fully incorporate the perspective of building peace from the territories. To guarantee the right to peace, educational institutions need to provide spaces for participation, inclusion, and education.
