Summary: The study aims to characterize the biomass of acai seeds and establish technical parameters for producing high-quality briquettes, with temperature having a greater influence on the characteristics of the briquettes than pressure. Higher temperature and lower pressure resulted in better compression strength for the briquettes, while increased pressure led to decreased water absorption rate. Overall, improving pressure and utilizing temperature effectively can enhance the quality and energy density of the briquettes, making them suitable for combustion in boilers.

Summary: This study examined how men maintain internal and external connections while experiencing grief over the loss of a loved one. The study found that men tend to focus on maintaining internal connections rather than external connections in their grieving process, and there was no significant correlation between the maintenance of internal and external connections and grief mediators.

Summary: The study evaluated the levels of protodioscin in Brachiaria spp., comparing differences between B. decumbens and B. brizantha, and reviewed the literature on toxicity mechanisms and treatment methods. The results suggest that Brachiaria spp. should be avoided in pastures where sheep are grazing to prevent poisoning incidents.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the effects of leaching fraction on sugarcane varieties in saline soil. Two cycles of cultivation were considered, with three varieties and three leaching fractions of irrigation water. Varieties SP943206 and VAT90212 showed higher yield at a leaching fraction of 9.1%, with VAT90212 also having higher water use efficiency. Reducing soil salinity through leaching did not significantly affect the technological quality of sugarcane varieties RB72454, SP943206 and VAT90212.

Summary: Monitoring the viral load of SARS-CoV-2 in wastewater can predict the increase in COVID-19 cases in advance and serve as an early warning system. Wastewater-based epidemiology, which includes symptomatic, pre-symptomatic, and asymptomatic individuals, provides valuable data to contain the spread of the virus.

Summary: The color of the seed coat in Bowdichia virgilioides greatly influences water permeability, with yellowish or orange/reddish seeds being less permeable, and reddish or rusty red seeds having higher permeability. Seeds with reddish color show greater physiological potential, possibly related to the species' maturation point.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of bladder ultrasound in measuring urinary volume in critically ill patients and the factors related to urinary retention. The results showed that bladder ultrasound was effective in measuring urinary volume and urinary retention was significantly associated with urinary tract infection, constipation, and spontaneous overflow diuresis.

Summary: This study focuses on the characteristics and strategies of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) in the residential segment in Brazilian metropolises, especially Sao Paulo, and analyzes the relationship between the financial and real estate sectors. The results reveal a pattern of sophisticated arrangements between the two sectors and provide novel insights into the current strategies of REITs in the residential segment. The main conclusions include a common internal organizational pattern among the trusts, the significance of location in their strategies, and diverging marketing discourses.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the use of scientific dissemination literature (SDL) in the process of developing questions by chemistry students. The analysis of the book and the questions produced revealed the influence of format, language, and the controversial aspects of the text on the students' presentations. The research concluded that SDL has the potential to stimulate high cognitive skills in students.

Summary: This review discusses the analytical advances based on first-order calibration models and UV-Vis spectroscopy for water quality assessment. The research started in the 60s with the aim of estimating water quality characteristics using UV-Vis spectra. In the 1990s, first-order multivariate calibration models were introduced to predict water quality parameters using UV-Vis spectra. While many studies used univariate calibration for quantification, there were also challenges such as determining substances absorbing at the same wavelengths and low concentration determinations. Chemometric approaches were introduced to allow quantification without the need for analytical curve construction, but their application is still considered to be in the early stages.
