Summary: Childhood obesity is a concerning public health problem that can impact the distribution and elimination of drugs, potentially requiring dose adjustment. Choosing the appropriate body weight metric for dosing obese children remains a question. Modeling and simulating techniques offer opportunities to bridge the knowledge gap in dosing for children with obesity.

Summary: The Jom Mama pre-conception intervention, which aimed to target prospective parents and reduce transmission of risk factors such as obesity, did not lead to significant changes in waist circumference or other secondary outcomes. However, there was a significantly smaller weight gain in the intervention group, particularly in women with pre-existing obesity.

Summary: The global COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant disruptions in healthcare utilization, leading to morbidity, mortality, and changes in medical interventions. Real-world data from various sources have reflected these disruptions. This article discusses the potential impact of pandemic-related disruptions on the design and analysis of noninterventional studies, specifically in participant selection, exposure measurement, outcome assessment, and covariate consideration. The article also highlights the amplified concerns in populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19 and proposes a general framework for researchers to address these challenges in the COVID-19 era.

Summary: Episodic future thinking (EFT) has emerged as a promising behavioral intervention to reduce delay discounting or maladaptive health behaviors. However, there is considerable methodological heterogeneity in methods for eliciting engagement in EFT in prior research. This narrative review summarizes the methods for generating EFT cues, the content of EFT cues, common control conditions, and considerations for cue delivery and implementation, and provides suggestions for best practices and future research.

Summary: This article introduces the ASINA project's Sustainable and Safe-by-Design (SSbD) methodology and its application in Nano-Enabled Products (NEPs). The methodology captures quality, safety, and sustainability criteria through a data-driven management approach. By developing highly representative NEPs value chains, the methodology helps identify and address environmental impact, techno-economic performance, functionality, and human and environmental safety at an early stage.

Summary: The increasing rate of breast cancer is linked to global obesity prevalence, particularly high-fat diets affecting postmenopausal breast cancer. This review analyzes the effects of dietary fats intake on postmenopausal breast cancer using mouse models and discusses the biochemical mechanisms involved. Methodological considerations and limitations in obesity-related postmenopausal breast cancer research are also reviewed.

Summary: This essay paper discusses methodological considerations for researching turnaround management practitioner (BRP) accreditation, focusing on the need to enhance BRP capabilities through continuing professional development. By evaluating existing data collection procedures and proposing sequenced integrated data collection procedures (IDCPs), the article aims to study BRPs' professional accreditation frameworks. The paper highlights the limitations of using questionnaire surveys and interviews to document BRP practices and professional capabilities, and suggests purposeful interpretation of legislative instruments governing BRP work for improved research design.

Summary: Research on teams and teamwork has mainly focused on short-term student teams in the lab, teams in larger organizations, and teams in unique environments. The context in which teams operate influences their composition and effectiveness. Small organizations provide a rich opportunity for studying team dynamics, but also present methodological and practical challenges. New methodological approaches are needed to advance our understanding of teams and teamwork in such contexts.

Summary: This study combines haptic technology and electrical engineering to determine an individual's level of sensory attenuation to somatic stimuli. Results from analyzing 138 participants showed that the number of replications of the target forces can be reduced without compromising the estimate of sensory attenuation, the optimal time window for extracting the matched force is 2.5-3 s, and participants' performance during the task remains stable.

Summary: This study successfully applied cultural and methodological adaptations to the commonly used GMB process in an Asian LMIC setting. The 'hybrid' GMB format proved to be feasible, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. These cultural adaptations could be considered for other Asian settings and beyond to address interrelated, complex issues such as MIAIF.
