Summary: In this study, ITO/AgIn/ITO composite films were deposited on glass substrates using magnetron sputtering. The effects of sputtering temperature on the optical and electrical properties of the films were investigated. The results showed that the films deposited at 25°C and 100°C exhibited high reflectivity and low resistivity, making them promising for high-reflectivity anodes.

Summary: Undoped porous WO3 nanofilms with large surface area were successfully fabricated by magnetron sputtering. These nanofilms exhibited significant room-temperature ferromagnetism and the saturation magnetization could be controlled by adjusting the deposition conditions. The porous samples showed magnetic anisotropy related to the regular pore structure and annealed nanofilms displayed narrowed bandgap and enhanced ferromagnetism, which can be explained by hydrogen-like impurity states associated with oxygen vacancies.

Summary: Multifunctional coated glass with antireflective, hydrophilic, and photocatalytic properties was successfully prepared by magnetron sputtering. By changing the annealing temperature, the density and reflectivity of the films were decreased. The composite film annealed at 774K exhibited the highest transmittance and hydrophilic properties. Moreover, the photocatalytic efficiency of the films was greatly improved by loading Cu and its oxides with WO3.

Summary: This work investigates the ferroelectric characteristics of ZrO2 thin films grown on ITO-coated glass. It is found that the ferroelectric nature of the ZrO2 films is optimized through rapid thermal annealing at 600 degrees C. The increase in annealing temperature improves the ferroelectric properties by increasing the in-plane strain. The effect of electric field on the polarization switching kinetics of ZrO2 films is also studied.

Summary: By assembling TiO2 nanoparticles decorated with polyoxometalate (POM) and organic dye molecules, we have achieved accelerated room-temperature sensing of NO2 gas under visible light illumination. This method improves the sensitivity and response/recovery time of the gas sensors, while maintaining high selectivity and relatively low detection concentration.

Summary: This study developed an integral cytocompatibility index and a decision tree algorithm to assess the cytocompatibility of TiO2 and N-TiO2 coatings. The results showed that the sample dominated by the rutile phase exhibited the best cytocompatibility. The DTA provided more detailed information about cytocompatibility.

Summary: In this study, nanostructured ITO thin films were prepared using ion beam sputtering and oblique angle deposition techniques, and the effects of different experimental conditions on the surface texture of the films were investigated. The results demonstrate that the texture engineering of the films can be achieved by controlling the atomic mobility and deposition angle under specific experimental conditions.

Summary: The study successfully correlated the properties of ITO layers deposited at low temperature with magnetron sputtering process parameters, finding that oxygen flow control influences the properties of the layer. High quality crystalline layers were obtained with an oxygen flow between 3-4 sccm. The optimized conditions were successfully applied for manufacturing transparent ITO heaters.

Summary: This paper reports the characteristics of closed-surface antireflective TiO2-SiO2 nanocomposite (CS-AR) films. The films were designed with a two-layer structure and fabricated through a printing method combined with an annealing process. The transmittance of the glass was significantly enhanced after coating the CS-AR film on the surface, and the films also showed a high hydrophilic antifog property.

Summary: In this study, ITO thin films were deposited on glass substrates using DC and RF magnetron sputtering, followed by annealing. The effects of deposition technique, annealing, and textured substrates on the structural, optical, and electrical properties of the films were investigated. The results showed that RF-sputtered samples exhibited better structural and electrical properties compared to DC-sputtered samples, and annealing improved the crystallinity and transmittance of the films.

Summary: This study investigates the performance of thin n-CdS/p-SiGe/p+-BaSi2 heterojunction solar cells with a BaSi2 layer as the BSF material. The results show that optimal performance is achieved when the SiGe absorber layer thickness is between 10 and 15 μm. By optimizing the thickness of the BSF BaSi2 layer, an efficiency of 17.05% is anticipated for the device.

Summary: This study synthesized and characterized Nd-Zn doped nanocrystalline Ca0.5Ba0.5-xNdxZnyFe12-yO19 hexaferrites via sol-gel auto combustion method, showing enhanced electrical and structural properties. Doping inversely affected lattice parameters and resulted in nanocrystalline sizes ranging from 16 to 29 nm. Nd-Zn doping significantly decreased dielectric losses, making these hexaferrites promising for high frequency applications.
