In this work, we report the structural, morphological, and optical properties of TiO2 thin films synthesized by the electro phoretic deposition technique. The TiO2 film was formed on a doped fluorine tin oxide (SnO2:F, i.e., FTO) layer and used as a photo electrode in a dye solar cell (DSC). Using spectroscopic ellipsometry measurements in the 200 to 800 nm wavelengths domain, we obtain a thickness of the TiO2 film in the range of 70 to 80 nm. Characterizations by X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy (AFM) show a polycrystalline film. In addition, AFM investigation shows no cracks in the formed layer. Using an ultraviolet-visible near-infrared spectrophotometer, we found that the transmittance of the TiO2 film in the visible domain reaches 75%. From the measured current-voltage or I-V characteristic under AM1.5 illumination of the formed DSC, we obtain an open circuit voltage V (oc) = 628 mV and a short circuit current I (sc) = 22.6 mu A, where the surface of the formed cell is 3.14 cm(2).

Summary: In this paper, a nondestructive method combining μW-PCD and SPV tools with an adequate theoretical approach is used to determine surface and bulk defect densities in crystalline silicon wafers. This method is applied to three different surface morphologies, including mirror polished, CP4 etched, and pyramidal textured samples.

Summary: In this study, nickel doped TiO2 thin films were fabricated using low temperature spray pyrolysis technique. It was found that nickel doping led to a transition from crystalline phase to amorphous state, increased defect density, and enhanced optical absorption in the transparency region of TiO2.

Summary: This study investigates the local activation of Light-induced degradation (LID) defect in highly co-doped silicon wafers with boron and phosphorus through a mapping technique. The experiments show that LID defects can be activated even in unexcited areas, and a high phosphorus doping level in silicon wafers leads to a significant reduction in the LID effect.

Summary: This study presents the protocol for the preparation of LaNiO3/La2O3 composites using the spray pyrolysis method, and investigates their structural, optical, and thermal properties. The composites exhibit varying optical band gap values and emission peaks in the violet, blue, and green ranges.
