Summary: This study analyzed data from 10,017 participants over an 8-year period and identified three distinct trajectories of suicide ideation: low-stable, moderate-decreasing, and high-persistent. The study also found that current socioeconomic status and prospective economic conditions significantly influenced the suicide ideation trajectories. The findings provide valuable information for developing targeted preventive interventions.

Summary: The study examined the bidirectional association between sleep problems, internalizing problems, and depressive symptoms in toddlers and children aged 1.5 to 8 years, showing a link between sleep and internalizing/depressive symptoms from early childhood to middle childhood. Intervention studies are needed to investigate whether addressing these issues at an early age may prevent the onset of the other.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the long-term cognitive trajectories and its determinants among older adults in China, and construct prediction models for identifying high-risk populations with unfavorable cognitive trajectories. Two distinct trajectories were identified: intact cognitive functioning and dementia. Factors such as older age, female gender, Han ethnicity, no schooling, rural residence, low-frequency leisure activities, and low baseline functioning were associated with a rapid decline in cognitive function. Machine learning algorithms performed well in predicting cognitive trajectories, with age and psychological well-being being key predictors.

Summary: This study investigates the relationship between long-term ownership and companies' decisions to assure their sustainability reports, as well as the moderating effect of governance quality on this relationship. The results support the critical mass theory and show a positive and significant association between long-term ownership and assurance decisions, but only for high levels of long-term ownership. Furthermore, the study finds that this association is negatively moderated by both company and country-level governance quality.

Summary: This study revealed an association between long-term exposure to ambient air pollution and all-cause and cause-specific mortality. The results suggest that policies and interventions to enhance air quality would reduce the mortality hazard from cardio-respiratory, cancer, and mental/behavioural disorders in the long-term.

Summary: The booming global tourism industry has created challenges for hotel sustainability, especially in managing water, energy, and waste. This study examines how upper echelon characteristics influence the environmental sustainability practices of senior hotel executives in Sri Lanka, using data from 23 in-depth interviews. The findings indicate that participants with strong attitudes, sound educational background, extensive prior experience, foreign exposure, and early exposure to the environment perform better in managing hotel sustainability.

Summary: Intimate partner violence recognition remains low in emergency departments, partly due to barriers experienced by providers. This study found that previous training in intimate partner violence is associated with higher readiness scores. Physicians have higher knowledge scores compared to registered nurses. Cultural competence positively influences readiness, communication, and practices related to intimate partner violence.

Summary: This study explores the desired characteristics of HIV/STI testing services from the perspective of intimate partner violence survivors. Three main themes were identified: peace of mind, addressing stigmas and traumas, and making testing easy, comfortable, and tailored. The findings have the potential to influence survivor-centered practices and policies regarding the integration of culturally informed HIV/STI and IPV services.

Summary: This study found an association between IPT and opioid misuse, but not with use. The relationship between sexual assault and opioid misuse was confounded by exposure to other types of IPT. Intimate partner violence was associated with opioid misuse among men, while adverse childhood experiences were associated with misuse among women. The interaction between intimate partner violence and sexual assault increased odds of opioid use among women.
