Summary: This paper aims to design and optimize a novel annular constructal bifurcation regenerator to reduce the flow and axial heat conduction losses in traditional porous regenerators. Geometric parameters and regenerator performance were analyzed using numerical simulations and response surface methodology. Multi-objective optimization was conducted to minimize flow resistance and maximize heat transfer rate. The results show that the constructal bifurcation regenerator has high comprehensive performance.

Summary: This study evaluates the performance of response surface methodology as a machine learning technique for the gasification process of polyethylene waste. Different models are developed using response surface methodology to predict gas yield, cold gas efficiency, carbon dioxide emission, and lower heating value of syngas in polyethylene waste gasification. The accuracy and validity of these models are compared with results obtained from a validated model. The findings show that the models developed by response surface methodology have high validity, with root mean square errors below 5%.

Summary: The development of aircraft with embedded engines relocating from conventional locations beneath the wings shows potential for increasing engine efficiency through the use of S-ducts. Design of the optimal S-duct shape during flight conditions requires the use of morphing systems. This study presents a methodology for the structural optimization of morphing systems, balancing the trade-offs between structural stiffness and morphing performance.
