Summary: This article proposes a new process for preparing vanadium by direct reduction of V2O5. The reaction behavior and path of V2O5 in the reduction process were investigated, and the results show that the reaction temperature and phase transformation can be controlled by adjusting the ratio of reactants and additives.

Summary: In this study, silver ions were successfully removed using modified graphene oxide (GO) with Gallic Acid (GA). The properties of the GO/GA composites were analyzed using various characterization techniques, and the effects of different experimental parameters on the adsorption of silver ions were investigated. The results showed that the optimal conditions for adsorption were achieved, with an adsorption rate of 98.35%. The data were reasonably interpreted using isotherm and kinetics models, and possible mechanisms for the adsorption process were introduced.

Summary: A new type of high-efficiency polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) air filter with silver nanoparticles decorated graphene oxide (Ag NPs/GO) functional materials was successfully prepared. The introduction of TiO2 improved the performance of the air filter, resulting in high particulate matter removal rate and antibacterial performance.

Summary: Self-propagating metallurgy is an important method for preparing high-temperature materials, especially high melting point alloys containing titanium and tungsten. This study examined the factors influencing the rate and stability of self-propagating reactions in the preparation of TiAl alloy, including reaction thermodynamics, composition and proportion of reducing agent, and addition of slagging agent. The results showed that stable reaction conditions were achieved using an Al-Ca reducing agent with a specific heat effect and a certain proportion of Ca. The obtained TiAl alloy had a wrapped structure surrounded by slag, with a specific composition and stability related to the physicochemical properties of the feedstock, reactor specifications, and feeding rate.

Summary: In this study, cationic graphene oxide (C-GO) was prepared to adsorb and purify rhamnolipids (RLs) from fermentation broth. The prepared C-GO exhibited high adsorption capacity and rapid adsorption rate for RLs. Ethanol was able to recover the adsorbed RLs with high purity.

Summary: In this study, a modified LDH-MoO42- nano-filler (KGO@LM) was prepared by modifying KH-570 and GO to improve the long-term corrosion resistance of epoxy resin (EP) coating. The filler integrates the functions of barrier, chloride ion trapping, and self-repair, and has good dispersion and compatibility in EP. The addition of KGO@LM filler significantly improved the anticorrosive effect of EP coating, as evidenced by the high impedance and significant corrosion inhibiting effect.

Summary: Nitrogen photofixation, as a green and sustainable approach, plays an important role in suppressing the energy crisis. In this study, a composite material of electron-rich reduced graphite oxide-modified red phosphorus was synthesized for efficient ammonia visible-light photo-production, achieving a high ammonia synthesis rate of 7.74 mg/(L?h) in 0.02rGORP. The system restricted intermediate product formation, increased photocatalytic efficiency, and extended the application of non-metal materials in nitrogen photofixation.

Summary: Reactive polyurethane and graphene oxide were used to prepare PU/GO nanocomposite, achieving uniform dispersion in asphalt. The macroscopic properties and microscopic changes of modified asphalt binders were studied, discussing the relationship between structure and properties. Synergy effect of polymer and nano modification improved the properties of the dispersed modified asphalt material.

Summary: In this study, the reversibility of magnesium deposition-dissolution in non-aqueous glyme-based electrolytes was improved by modifying the surface of magnesium metal or alloy AZ31 with graphene oxide modified using Grignard reagent. The modified magnesium electrode showed a reversible redox reaction without overpotential in a conventional magnesium salt - glyme solution, and was compatible with a Mo6S8 positive electrode for two-electrode test cells. Summary: In this study, a nanocomposite of graphene oxide-modified palygorskite (mPal-GO) was successfully synthesized and showed promising performance in removing Co(II) from wastewater. The research demonstrated that mPal-GO has a high adsorption capacity for Co(II) under specific conditions and good reusability.
