Summary: Among Hispanic women with thyroid cancer, those with low acculturation level are more likely to have unmet information needs, especially in terms of health literacy and access to information. The way they access the internet is also influenced by their acculturation level.

Summary: This review provides an overview of the impact of being a caregiver for an AYA cancer patient on different domains of their lives and reports the unmet needs they identify. By being more attentive to the caregivers and intervening accordingly, caregivers' quality of life can increase, resulting in better caregiving capabilities. This not only benefits the patient but also decreases caregiver burden.

Summary: Despite growing awareness of age-specific care for adolescent and young adult cancer patients, it is not always provided or accepted as standard care. A study in the Netherlands found that a significant proportion of long-term survivors had missed age-specific care, particularly female survivors who were diagnosed at a younger age and received certain treatments. These survivors had a variety of needs, including disease and treatment information, emotional support, support from friends and family, fertility and pregnancy, work and reintegration, as well as comprehensive care and overall well-being. Improving age-specific care services for these survivors is necessary.

Summary: Adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer often have limited and superficial knowledge of cancer and treatment prior to diagnosis. This lack of knowledge can have profound consequences throughout their cancer journey, impacting symptom recognition, help-seeking, understanding of tests and referrals, diagnosis uncertainty, and preparation for treatment realities.Improving AYA's knowledge of cancer through universal or targeted education could potentially enhance their experiences of diagnosis and care.

Summary: Thyroid cancer survivors experience physical health-related quality of life improvements, but psychological and social deficits persist. Patient experiences revolve around three themes: impact of diagnosis and treatment, the interconnectedness of thyroid cancer, and the role of clinicians and support structures. It is important to address the psychological and social functioning of thyroid cancer survivors during clinical encounters, and develop individualized information resources and support structures to optimize their holistic well-being.

Summary: The study aimed to develop and validate the Information Needs Questionnaire for Differentiated Thyroid Cancer (INQ-DTC) in DTC patients with radioactive iodine therapy. The final version of the questionnaire contained 33 items and showed high reliability and validity. The results indicated that the questionnaire could effectively assess the information needs of DTC patients undergoing RAI therapy.

Summary: This study examined the support needs and associated factors of young adult childhood cancer survivors (YACCS) in the Netherlands. The results showed that YACCS had the strongest need for concrete information in the domains of lifestyle, fertility, and physical consequences of childhood cancer. The associated factors were mainly socioeconomic and psychosocial in nature. The study suggests that psychosocial care should be integrated into survivorship care for YACCS.

Summary: This paper introduces a Python package called loopUI-0.1 to support practitioners in the mining industry with 3D geological modelling and uncertainty quantification. A survey revealed that practitioners recognize the importance of uncertainty quantification even if they do not perform it. Four main factors hindering practitioners from performing uncertainty quantification were identified.

Summary: This study investigates the challenges, competencies, and support in breast and gynecological cancer patients' information needs, and how health literacy can be improved through the interplay of these factors. The findings reveal the challenges patients face in accessing and processing information, and the competencies they possess in regulating their information needs and making informed decisions. Support from professionals, relatives, peers, and facilities is crucial in enhancing patients' health literacy.

Summary: The past 5-10 years have seen significant advancements in the diagnosis and management of thyroid cancer, including ultrasound-based risk stratification systems, less invasive alternatives to surgery, and the availability of new systemic therapies for advanced cases. However, disparities in thyroid cancer care still exist, highlighting the importance of population-based studies and inclusive research to address barriers to equitable care.

Summary: This review describes recent advances in the diagnosis and management of thyroid nodules in children and adults, highlighting the differences between the two groups. Thyroid nodules are less common but have a higher risk of malignancy in children compared to adults. The use of radiographic risk stratification systems validated in adults for evaluating thyroid nodules in children is limited. Criteria for fine needle aspiration biopsy differ between children and adults, with less consideration given to nodule size in young patients. Molecular testing improves diagnostic capabilities, but options for pediatric thyroid nodules are currently limited.

Summary: Long-term survivorship care is crucial for reducing anxiety and burden for survivors and their families, decreasing emergency visits and healthcare costs, improving knowledge, and implementing timely surveillance. Childhood cancer survivors often suffer from various medical and psychosocial comorbidities as they age, and are at a higher risk for early mortality, making survivorship and transitional care essential.
