Summary: This systematic review suggests that multi-modal treatment protocols may be the best option for managing kinesiophobia caused by musculoskeletal pain, while psychological treatment protocols also show potential positive effects. Attention should be paid to psychological mechanisms during treatment.

Summary: This study compared different mouse models of diabetes-related ulcers through a systematic review and network meta-analysis. The results showed that db/db, ob/ob, streptozotocin (STZ), and STZ + high fat diet mice had significantly delayed wound healing compared to controls at each time point. Age, sex, and ulcer type influenced wound healing, although not at all time points.

Summary: The meta-analysis showed that patients who received dapagliflozin experienced a significant reduction in HbA1c levels, body weight, and total daily insulin dose, as well as a substantial increase in 24-hour urinary glucose excretion compared to the control group.

Summary: This study compares the prognostic performance of different LGIB risk scores and found that the Oakland score performs the best in predicting safe discharge, major bleeding, and need for transfusion, while the Strate score is the most accurate in predicting the need for hemostasis.

Summary: This study evaluated and compared the efficacy and acceptability of various medicinal herbs for the treatment of anxiety. The results suggest that herbs such as Silexan, Kava, Ginkgo biloba, and Withania somnifera may have potential therapeutic effects for anxiety. However, further research is needed to confirm these findings due to limited sample sizes and the potential influence of placebos.

Summary: This study compared the effects of glucose-lowering drugs added to metformin for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. The results showed that insulin add-ons had the best effects on reducing HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose, and postprandial glucose. Insulin also increased high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors significantly reduced total cholesterol levels, while glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists significantly reduced body mass index and hypoglycemia risk.

Summary: Oral nutrition interventions can affect blood immune cell parameters in cancer patients. Beta-carotene supplementation and a combination of physical exercise and hypocaloric healthy eating intervention have potential positive effects, while oral nutrition supplementations with a single substance have less potential. Further research is needed.

Summary: This study compared the efficacy and discontinuation of augmentation agents in adult patients with treatment-resistant depression through a systematic review and network meta-analyses. The findings suggest that certain adjunctive atypical antipsychotics, thyroid hormones, dopamine compounds, and lithium are superior in terms of efficacy. However, ziprasidone, mirtazapine, and cariprazine had higher discontinuation rates. Further research and head-to-head studies are needed to strengthen treatment options for treatment-resistant depression.

Summary: This systematic review and network meta-analysis evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of HbA1c >= 6.5%, FPG >= 126 mg/dl, and HbA1c >= 6.5% or FPG >= 126 mg/dl (HbA1c| FPG) compared with OGTT >= 200 mg/dl for diagnosing diabetes. The results suggest that FPG >= 126 mg/dl should be recommended as the best diagnostic test for diabetes.

Summary: The prevalence of DSM-5-defined mixed features in major depressive episodes (MDE) and manic/hypomanic episodes was found to be 11.6% and 26.8% respectively. The lowest prevalence of mixed features was observed in East Asian countries, ranging from 0-2.2%. Subgroup analysis did not identify any significant factors influencing the heterogeneity of prevalence rates.

Summary: This study aimed to summarise the current evidence on different antidiabetic drugs for delaying cognitive impairment in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. The findings showed that SGLT-2i, GLP-1RA, thiazolidinedione, and DPP-4i were associated with a decreased risk of dementia, while sulfonylurea increased the risk. Network meta-analysis showed that SGLT-2i was the most effective in reducing dementia outcomes. These findings provide valuable evidence for clinical practice.
