Summary: This study in Southern Ethiopia found that the utilization of adequate antenatal care services is low, at only 23.13%. Significant determinants of overall adequate antenatal care service utilization included higher education, having a friend who used maternal care, husband support, high wealth index, follow-up in private health facilities, history of risky pregnancy, and planned pregnancy. Interventions to improve husband's support, social networks, women's education, and counseling on family planning are recommended based on the study findings.

Summary: Receiving at least four antenatal care visits is crucial for the health of mothers and perinates. This study quantified the effect of optimal ANC care on maternal and perinatal health by comparing women who received optimal care to those who did not. The results showed that optimal ANC care had a positive effect on both maternal and perinatal health.

Summary: This study examined the spatial variations and determinants of optimal antenatal care (ANC) service utilisation in Ethiopia. The findings revealed significant geographic differences in the utilisation of optimal ANC services, with higher rates in Northern, Eastern, Central, and Northwestern regions compared to Northeastern, Southeastern, Southern, and Western regions. Factors such as wealth index, timing of initial ANC visit, and region were identified as significant determinants of optimal ANC service utilisation. The study suggests the implementation of targeted policies and strategies to improve ANC service utilisation in regions with low rates.

Summary: This study aimed to compare the utilization rates of antenatal care (ANC1, ANC4), skilled birth attendance (SBA), and postnatal care (PNC) services before and after the implementation of Vscan limited obstetric ultrasounds in semi-urban health centers in Ethiopia. The results showed significant improvements in ANC, SBA, and PNC services utilization after the introduction of limited obstetric ultrasound services by trained mid-level providers. It is recommended to scale up the institutionalization of limited obstetric ultrasound services and conduct further comparative studies to confirm causality and assess the effects on maternal and perinatal outcomes.

Summary: The study revealed low utilization of postnatal care services in East Gojjam zone, northwest Ethiopia. Barriers to PNC service utilization included lack of awareness, traditional beliefs and religious practices, distance and transportation, environmental exposure, and waiting time. Improvements in personal health education, infrastructure construction, and transportation are recommended to remove or reduce these barriers.

Summary: Globally, nearly three million children die in the neonatal period. Enhancing mothers' knowledge and skills towards essential newborn care (ENC) is crucial in reducing newborn illness and mortality. This study examined the magnitude and determinants of mothers' knowledge of ENC. The findings indicate that only 33.5% of mothers had good knowledge of ENC, with knowledge gaps in areas such as cord care, breastfeeding, and thermal care. Increasing access to antenatal care and institutional delivery could potentially improve maternal knowledge of ENC.

Summary: The study conducted in the KA-HDSS region of Northern Ethiopia found that the skilled delivery rate increased significantly from 15.12% in 2010 to 95.85% in 2017. Factors such as educational level, residence, marital status, occupation, and antenatal care visits were identified as significant determinants of high skilled delivery rates. Urban residents, unmarried women, those with multiple antenatal care visits, and women with at least a secondary education were more likely to receive skilled delivery services.

Summary: The study conducted at Dale-Wonsho health and demographic surveillance site of the Hawassa University in South Ethiopia found that the utilization rates of antenatal care, institutional delivery, and postnatal care were lower than the targeted plan, with rates of 69.1%, 52.1%, and 32.7% respectively. Factors positively associated with maternal health service utilization included higher education levels, household training, middle wealth quantile, pregnancy planning, husband's education, maternal education, information about postnatal care, and women's autonomy. Policymakers should focus on capacity building for women both economically and academically, as well as increasing awareness about maternal health services among women.

Summary: Although Ghana has made progress in skilled birth attendance, unsupervised deliveries still occur. The Free Maternal Health Care Policy has improved the uptake of skilled delivery services, but faces implementation challenges. To achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, full coverage of skilled delivery costs and measures for policy operation and financial sustainability are necessary.

Summary: A study conducted at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, UK, from 2005 to 2016 found a low incidence of in utero complications in fetuses exposed to prolonged low-dose indomethacin, with reversible effects that can be diagnosed with ultrasound. Postnatal complications were related to gestation at birth and were not more common in neonates with antenatal ductal constriction.

Summary: In order to improve marketing activity and brand management, organizations should implement different information technologies, mathematical methods, and models into the marketing decision support system (MDSS). This paper proposes an MDSS architecture based on data science tools, specifically regression analysis and machine learning methods. The MDSS is a multi-agent information system with nine intellectual agents that optimize marketing activities through data science, allowing for effective brand management strategies and solving customer-related issues. By analyzing the marketing environment, media activity, and business indicators, the MDSS constructs different models and forecasts to select the best marketing factors combination.

Summary: This study examines the relationship between the tax systems of Baltic countries and the level of shadow economy within their respective economies. It finds that an increase in effective corporate income tax rate can reduce the shadow economy, while an increase in effective income tax rate and VAT rate contributes to its growth. The long-term effect of general taxes is almost 19% higher than the growth of the tax base, suggesting further room for improvement.
