Summary: In order to reduce losses caused by propellant leakage accidents, water spraying devices have been applied in UDMH storage sites. However, this emergency measure results in the formation of toxic UDMH gas. To solve this problem, a magnetically recoverable sorbent for UDMH leakage is designed and prepared, which meets the requirements of environmental protection and recyclability. Dynamic spray experiments show that the use of this recoverable agent helps reduce UDMH gas leakage and environmental pollution caused by leakage accidents.

Summary: Solidified Natural Gas (SNG) technology provides a compact and safe option for large-scale natural gas storage. Introducing thermodynamic promoters like THF into the classical methane-water system enables rapid gas uptake at moderate pressure and temperature. The study compares the stability of cylindrical mixed methane-THF (sII) and pure methane (sI) hydrate pellets, with results showing exceptional stability of sII hydrates and significant gas evolution from sI hydrates stored at different temperatures. Long-term stability testing of methane-THF (sII) hydrate pellets produced using fresh and seawater demonstrates the commercial viability of SNG technology.

Summary: Effective production of natural gas from hydrate-bearing sediments through various strategies is crucial in addressing the current global energy crisis. However, the dissociation of hydrates during gas production can weaken sediment strength and impact reservoir stability. This study thoroughly analyzed gas production, reservoir characteristics, and sediment deformation using the ABAQUS platform. The findings provide insights into the potential for commercial gas hydrate development and lay the groundwork for developing engineering measures to mitigate geological disasters in the hydrate production process.

Summary: In this study, a series of depressurization experiments were conducted in a triaxial hydraulic fracturing apparatus to investigate the fracturing behavior and gas production characteristics of methane hydrate-bearing sediments. The effects of hydrate saturation, fracturing fluid properties, and in-situ stress on fracturing behavior were analyzed. The results showed that sediments with low hydrate saturation could be fractured, and the fracture initiation pressure was positively correlated with the hydrate saturation. Additionally, the use of medium-viscosity fracturing fluid and inorganic salt-based clay stabilizer solution enhanced gas production rates and permeability, respectively.

Summary: An improved Hummers method for synthesizing graphene oxide (GO) using boric acid has been developed, which can shorten the reaction time, inhibit effectively the generation of carboxyl groups, eliminate the emission of toxic gases, and increase the yield. The GO synthesized by this method has fewer structural defects compared to the traditional method.

Summary: This study analyzed the challenging issue of horizontal well drilling in unconsolidated marine hydrate sediments through numerical simulations. The results show that increasing drilling fluid density and salinity may slightly accelerate hydrate dissociation, while a significant increase in drilling fluid temperature could lead to disasters in wellbore stability.

Summary: Studying the spatial-temporal variations of the gas hydrate stability zone (GHSZ) in the Dongsha region is important for understanding gas hydrate processes and proposing accumulation models. The research shows that bottom water temperature is a key factor influencing GHSZ thickness, and the current GHSZ thickness ranges from 110 m to 415 m.
