Summary: This study examined whether gambling loss limits should be income-specific and found that income does moderate empirically derived gambling loss limits. The lowest income group had the lowest loss limits, while the highest income group had the highest loss limits. Income-based gambling loss limits may have higher applied value for preventing gambling related harm compared to general loss limits.

Summary: Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) is a popular surgical procedure for treating Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD) and pseudophakic bullous keratopathy (PBK). The size of the graft is crucial for the success of the procedure, with smaller grafts being preferred. However, larger diameter grafts pose challenges due to higher detachment rates.

Summary: Freeze-all strategy has emerged as an alternative approach in in vitro fertilization (IVF) to reduce the negative effects of controlled ovarian stimulation. However, current studies have inconsistent results and a personalized approach should be taken based on individual patient characteristics and preference.

Summary: CFTR modulators show strong treatment effects in specific mutation pwCF populations, but individual responses vary. Reconsidering dosing regimens can improve treatment responses and prevent side effects, but further research is needed to fully understand the pharmacokinetic properties and dosage responses.

Summary: Herpesviruses are common DNA viruses that cause lifelong infections and are associated with various diseases. While they can evade the immune system, they are recognized by the innate immune system, leading to inflammation. Recent studies have found that inflammasome signaling plays a role in herpesvirus innate immune activation and impacts disease outcomes.

Summary: The measurement of proteinuria is crucial for diagnosing and monitoring kidney disease, but there is still controversy and uncertainty surrounding the optimal measurement method. International guidelines recommend the use of urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio, but this method is not universally available and can be costly. Additionally, the accuracy of different measurement methods may vary depending on the magnitude of albuminuria, sex, and clinical contexts.

Summary: The study found that in patients treated with TPTX-AT or SPTX for 3HPT, the TPTX-AT group had lower plasma calcium concentrations compared to the SPTX group throughout the follow-up period, always remaining within the normal range. There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of the persistence/recurrence of disease, incidence of transitory hypocalcemia, and temporary/permanent hypoparathyroidism.

Summary: We investigated the impact of internal corporate governance on market performance across multiple countries. Board characteristics, such as size, independence, gender diversity, CEO duality, and classified boards, were examined. Our findings suggest that CEO duality is generally negatively related to returns, while independent directors and board diversity are positively related to market performance. Additionally, the relationship between board structure and performance varies by country.

Summary: Many city branding campaigns fail due to a lack of input from local residents at the planning stage and a failure to address the varying preferences and needs of different groups. The current study identifies different segments of residents based on their involvement and attachment to the city, revealing the heterogeneous nature of city residents and providing practical implications for city marketers and municipalities.

Summary: Mucosal healing (MH) is the main target for treating ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease, with neutrophil infiltration being a key histological marker. Existing histological scoring systems for assessing disease severity are complex and subjective. Simplified mucosal healing schemes based on neutrophils and their distribution show advantages. Future developments include standardization with artificial intelligence models and new molecular markers for inflammation in diagnostic practice.
