Summary: The survey results show that mechanical ventilation with heat recovery is commonly used in new low-energy residences in Europe, but there are still countries that use other types of ventilation due to tradition, national legislation, climatic conditions, and cost reasons. The main barriers against mechanical ventilation include high capital cost, space requirements, and duct routing.

Summary: The energy transition in the electricity sector is driving the demand for novel technologies and innovation, characterized by decarbonization, decentralization, and digitalization trends. However, the regulated nature and slow technological dynamics of the sector pose challenges in providing proper innovation incentives. To address this, European countries introduced innovation-stimuli regulations, which positively impacted patenting activities in the electricity sector and fostered innovation, particularly among the early adopters.

Summary: International comparisons of COVID-19 incidence rates are affected by differences in surveillance systems and reporting methods. Data collected from six European countries showed significant differences in testing rates, access to free testing, and types of tests recorded in national databases. Improving international comparisons could be achieved by including testing information or using alternative indicators such as death or hospitalization.

Summary: According to European regulation, new drugs for neurodegenerative diseases, autoimmune and immune dysfunctions must be approved by EMA before being marketed. Each country is responsible for national market access, based on assessment by HTA bodies. This study compares HTA recommendations issued by France, Germany, and Italy for MS drugs following EMA approval. Out of the 11 authorized MS drugs in Europe, there was no agreement on their therapeutic value, indicating the need for better efficacy and safety profiles.

Summary: The aim of this study was to examine cross-cultural differences in burnout levels among psychotherapists during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study found that burnout at the individual level was positively related to self-enhancement and conservation values, but negatively related to self-transcendence and openness-to-change values. Additionally, male sex, younger age, being single, and reporting higher COVID-19-related distress were significant burnout correlates.
