Summary: By adjusting the stoichiometry of different co-ligands, a series of different metallocycles and carboxylate-bridged compounds have been successfully synthesized, with control over the occupation of co-ligands in metallocycles. These metallocycles show promising application prospects in host-guest chemistry due to their cavities and porosity in the solid state.

Summary: This study reports the effect of doping with europium ions on the magnetic properties of bismuth ferrite. Through various methods, the researchers gained a deeper understanding of the mechanisms behind the changes in magnetic response caused by doping. It was found that within a certain doping range, the crystal structure parameters remained stable, but beyond that range, the crystal structure changed. Additionally, the magnetic properties were found to be correlated with the crystal structure.

Summary: The synthesis and characterization of iodine(I) complexes with benzoimidazole or carbazole-derived sp(2) N-containing Lewis bases, as well as their corresponding silver(I) complexes, were investigated. The results showed the presence of a three-center four-electron (3c-4e) [N-I-N](+) bond in the iodine(I) complexes, with some Ag+ complexes exhibiting deviations from linearity.

Summary: Single-crystal X-ray diffraction demonstrates the single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformations of imine linkages in a flexible covalent organic framework with interpenetrating quartz topology. The material exhibits large anisotropic positive thermal expansion and can undergo structural transformations upon removal of solvent molecules. Redox-induced linkage conversions improve the stability of the COFs towards strong acids and enable high anhydrous proton conductivity.

Summary: Vibrational spectroscopy is an indispensable tool for examining silicon oxycarbide-based amorphous materials. In this study, SiOC glasses were modified with phosphate ions, and the structural examination was mainly carried out using infrared and Raman spectroscopy. The obtained results proved the efficient preparation of desired materials with structural parameters similar to the unmodified one.

Summary: The reduction of WO3 and V2O5 with hydrogen was studied using in situ X-ray powder diffraction. The intermediates V4O9, V6O13, and VO2 were identified in the reduction of V2O5, while H0.23WO3 and W10O29 were found as intermediates in the reduction of WO3. The intermediates of V2O5 cannot be prepared as single phases, unlike those of WO3 which can be isolated. Heating and flow rates had minimal influence on the formation of intermediates.

Summary: An organic-inorganic hybrid material with a monoclinic structure and a zero-dimensional network formed by hydrogen bonds has been synthesized using the slow evaporation method at room temperature. The H center dot center dot center dot Cl/Cl center dot center dot center dot H interaction is found to be the most important in the crystal. Vibrational spectroscopy analysis and computation results provide evidence for the existence and energy gap of the organic part in the hybrid material. Furthermore, photoluminescence measurement confirms its luminescence property in solid state.
