Summary: The aim of this study was to analyze the variations of training intensity and well-being measures of youth football player over a 38 week period, and to test the relationships between training intensity and well-being variations throughout a youth football season. The results showed significant differences in training intensity and well-being measures at different periods of the season, and variations in sleep quality seemed to depend on the variations in training intensity.

Summary: This study analyzed the temperature and intensity dependence of open-circuit voltage of InGaN/GaN multi-quantum well solar cells in high temperature and high illumination conditions. The results show that the simple ABC model can accurately reproduce this dependence, with consideration of temperature-dependent lifetime and device heating.

Summary: This paper focuses on the assessment of internal rate of return (IRR) in subsidized production, emphasizing the importance of considering uncertainty in future market price and demand. By applying fuzzy numbers and comparing results with conventional statistical approaches, the study provides insights on the adequacy of subsidy systems. The analysis of a subsidized electric car production project reveals the significance of accurate IRR evaluation and highlights the misconception that subsidies guarantee profitability. The use of fuzzy analysis offers investors a more comprehensive understanding of subjective risk compared to statistical approaches.

Summary: The Housing Provident Fund System (HPFS) in China was established to provide low-cost loans as a welfare program, but controversy exists over its income redistribution effect. A study found that low-income HPFS participants had lower IRRs when buying houses compared to non-participants, while only high-income employees benefitted from HPFS, mostly due to tax exemptions. Increasing HPFS coverage among low-income employees does not improve income redistribution.

Summary: This paper provides microfoundations for the Salter-Swan policy framework, which helps determine a policymaker's exchange-rate and fiscal stance based on internal and external economic targets in a small open economy. The rationale for policy intervention is explained by downward nominal wage rigidity and financial frictions.

Summary: This study aims to qualitatively describe acute care nurse managers' perceptions of and barriers to their professional well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings suggest that professional well-being is influenced by various factors such as work-life balance, self-care, support from stakeholders, and managing feelings of thriving vs. struggling in the role.

Summary: This study compared the two-year postoperative complication/revision rates between patients undergoing cTKA after prior periarticular ORIF and those undergoing primary TKA. The results showed that patients undergoing cTKA after prior periarticular ORIF had significantly higher incidences of all-cause revision, periprosthetic joint infection, and intraoperative or postoperative periprosthetic fracture at two years postoperatively compared to those undergoing primary TKA. Surgeons should be aware of the increased risks of these postoperative complications in these patients.

Summary: This study improves the downhole coaxial open-loop heat collector by using a slotted liner to create a free open space for better heat exchange. Field tests in a geothermal well in Shengli Oilfield, Dongying, China, show that the improved heat output is greater than that of traditional downhole heat exchangers. After 15 days of continuous operation, the heat output stabilizes at 200 kW with a water outlet temperature of 34.6 degrees Celsius.

Summary: Drawing on the strength of HRM systems, this research explores how HRM can impact employee well-being through internal process climate as a mediator, as well as the moderating role of open systems climate. Findings demonstrate the significant impact of HRM system strength on employee well-being, with internal process climate as a positive mediator in this relationship. Additionally, the study supports the moderating role of an open systems climate.

Summary: The impact of acute partial sleep deprivation on autonomic cardiac regulation was not altered by high-intensity interval exercise (HIIE). It took up to 4 hours for the HRV to return to baseline levels after HIIE, while parasympathetic related HRV indices increased the morning after acute partial sleep deprivation.

Summary: The study examined the species compatibility, production performance, water productivity, water use efficiency, and profitability of shrimp-fish polyculture. It found that stocking advanced fish fingerlings in the polyculture system could improve survival rate, productivity, and profitability. The most promising treatment was identified based on growth performance, species compatibility, benefit-cost ratio, and consumer preference.

Summary: Agroecological production strategies, such as the System of Rice Intensification (SRI), can help achieve about half of the UN Development Program's sustainable development goals, particularly in reducing hunger and addressing climate change. SRI practices like SRI can lower production costs, increase farmer incomes, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, while also improving crop yields and resilience to climate change.

Summary: The conversion of eco-carp hatcheries to climate smart carp hatcheries is a remarkable adaptation strategy for developing countries to cope with the disproportionate impact of climate change on the aquaculture sector. The alterations in monsoonal rain patterns pose a major threat to aquaculture production by affecting water availability. By implementing important modifications like cooling towers, sensor-based monitoring, and water recirculation systems, climate smart carp hatcheries can ensure continuous production and supply of quality carp seed. This article highlights the limitations of eco-carp hatcheries and suggests their transformation into climate smart hatcheries.
