Summary: The purpose of this study was to track and define the changes following intravitreal injection of different anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) medications or dexamethasone implant. The results showed that dexamethasone implant widened the iridocorneal angle, while anti-VEGF medications did not have a similar effect.

Summary: It was found that Weiss ring located near the optic disc can affect the measurement of peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer (pRNFL) thickness, especially in the inferior quadrant and average values. Therefore, it is important to consider the presence of Weiss ring when analyzing pRNFL thickness.

Summary: This study aimed to present normative data of OCT, electrophysiological, and ocular biometry parameters in minipigs, and found differences in retinal sublayer thickness at various locations. The implicit time of ERGs was longer in scotopic conditions than in photopic conditions, while VEPs showed shorter implicit times in minipigs.

Summary: This study demonstrates a high correlation between measurements obtained with a portable smart eye camera (SEC) and conventional devices for assessing anterior chamber depth (ACD) and iridocorneal angle. The SEC showed good subjective and objective assessment functions, indicating its adequate performance for ACD evaluation and angle estimation.

Summary: This study investigates the detection of morphological changes in Bacillus subtilis using scattering angle resolved optical coherence tomography (SAR-OCT). The results show significant differences in the distribution of backscattering angle during the rod-to-coccus shape transition of the bacteria. The study supports the potential of utilizing SAR-OCT to detect bacterial morphological changes.

Summary: This study evaluated the agreement and reproducibility of ACA measurements obtained using the built-in software of the CASIA2 and the measurements derived from expert clinicians. The results showed that the CASIA2 software had excellent repeatability and consistency, reliably measuring ACA parameters in healthy individuals.

Summary: The purpose of this study was to establish normative data for macular thickness and volume in a diabetic population. The researchers used spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) to observe and compare macular thickness and volume between diabetic patients and a reference population. The results showed that diabetic patients had thinner macular thickness and volume compared to the reference population.

Summary: We report the development of a novel coaxial double-clad-fiber (DCF) and graded-index (GRIN) fiberoptic Raman probe for enhancing in vivo epithelial tissue Raman measurements. The probe can acquire high-quality Raman spectra from various oral tissues within sub-seconds and detect subtle biochemical differences between different epithelial tissues, suggesting its potential for in vivo diagnosis and characterization.

Summary: This study established a normative database of retinal thickness in mice aged one to four months, providing data for studying the aging of control and disease model mice. Results showed differences in thickness at different layers, a nasal-temporal asymmetry, and significant differences in thickness between the transgenic mouse group and the normative database.

Summary: A novel decor relation-based approach is proposed for measuring localized transverse flow velocity using line-scan optical coherence tomography (OCT). The new method allows for separation of the flow velocity component along the line-illumination direction from other components, diffusion motion, and noise-induced distortion. Verification was done by imaging flow in a glass capillary and a microfluidic device, mapping the flow velocity distribution within the illuminated area. This method has potential for mapping three-dimensional flow velocity fields in both ex-vivo and in-vivo applications.

Summary: This study compares the diagnostic ability of regular and long axial length databases in identifying glaucoma among highly myopic individuals. The use of long axial length database significantly improves the specificity and diagnostic accuracy in distinguishing glaucomatous eyes from nonglaucomatous eyes in this population.

Summary: Abnormal blood flow in the early stage of embryonic heart can lead to cardiac defects. Accurate flow measurement in the embryonic heart is important for related studies. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a noninvasive imaging approach that can provide high-resolution flow velocity distribution information. The proposed method in this study introduces a dividing head to probe the arm of OCT, allowing for the measurement of the Doppler angle and the calculation of absolute flow velocity. The method is validated using a capillary phantom and further applied to measure blood flow in the early stage of chicken embryo in vivo.

Summary: In this study, school-aged children with a history of sr-ROP had narrower angles compared to preterm- and term-born children. AS-OCT demonstrated structural differences of the iridocorneal angle in sr-ROP, possibly reflecting a mild developmental arrest of the anterior segment.
