Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the effects of serelaxin on patients with stable CAD, showing that serelaxin can reduce blood pressure but does not affect myocardial perfusion, with consistent safety profiles observed in both groups.

Summary: This study compared the effectiveness of initial statin treatment with high-intensity statins versus a treat-to-target strategy in patients with coronary artery disease. The results showed that the treat-to-target strategy of achieving an LDL-C level between 50 and 70 mg/dL was noninferior to high-intensity statin therapy in terms of clinical outcomes over a 3-year period.

Summary: Despite optimal treatment, patients with chronic coronary artery disease and diabetes mellitus are at high risk of cardiovascular events. The Low-Dose Colchicine 2 trial showed that colchicine reduces cardiovascular risk in patients with chronic coronary artery disease. The efficacy of colchicine in patients with chronic coronary artery disease and diabetes mellitus, as well as its effect on the development of new-onset type 2 diabetes mellitus, were evaluated.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate whether an educational-motivational intervention can improve long-term lipid-lowering therapy adherence and LDL-C goal attainment rate in post-ACS patients. The results showed that the intervention group had higher medication adherence and a positive correlation between good adherence and LDL-C goal achievement rate at one year.

Summary: This study found that patients with DBL have a significantly higher risk of ASCVD and PVD compared to normolipidemic controls, as well as a higher risk of PVD compared to patients with FH. Adequate screening for DBL is vital to improve the clinical care and prevent the development of ASCVD in these patients.

Summary: In patients with coronary artery disease, clopidogrel monotherapy was associated with improved endothelial function, greater platelet inhibition, and lower coagulation activity compared to aspirin monotherapy, indicating pleiotropic effects on endothelial function and hemostatic profiles.

Summary: This study aimed to analyze the effects of high-dose statin therapy before surgical revascularization. The results showed that additional statin loading before surgery did not reduce the rate of major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCE) occurring within 30 days.

Summary: Elevated HDL-C is associated with improved cardiovascular outcomes, but clinical trials targeting HDL-C have not been successful. Rare compound heterozygous variants in SCARB1 have been found to cause severe CAD through Mendelian inheritance. These findings support the disease-contributing capability of loss-of-function SCARB1 variants.

Summary: This clinical trial aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of high-medium molecular weight β-glucan on serum low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol and other lipid subfractions in subjects with hyperlipidemia. The results showed that compared with the placebo group, the β-glucan group did not show significant changes in LDL cholesterol concentration or other lipid subfractions. This study is of importance for investigating the lipid-lowering effects of β-glucan.

Summary: In this study, the impact of external vein graft support devices on intimal hyperplasia did not reach statistical significance, but the overall mortality and major cardiac or cerebrovascular event rates were similar to other coronary artery bypass trials. Further investigation is needed to assess the effect of external support devices on long-term graft patency and clinical outcomes.

Summary: The study compared the impact of one-year periodized and non-periodized exercise training on health-related physical fitness in patients with coronary artery disease. The results showed that the periodized model was as effective as the non-periodized model in promoting increases in HRPF outcomes, allowing health professionals to add variation to cardiac rehabilitation workouts without compromising effectiveness.
