Summary: This study evaluated the psychometric properties of SF-36 in older Mexicans. The SF-36 showed appropriate internal consistency, construct validity, and factor structure. It also demonstrated good discrimination between groups with and without chronic diseases. The Social functioning subscale had the least acceptable results, possibly due to different understandings among the older Mexican population.

Summary: This study developed population-based norms for the Cervantes-SF scale, which measures the impact of menopause on the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) of women in Spain. The results showed a gradual increase in the impact of menopause on HRQOL as age increases, with significant differences in symptomatology and HRQOL impact among different age groups, as well as various factors such as generic HRQOL, comorbidities, history of osteoporotic fractures, educational level, and obesity.

Summary: Critical limb ischemia is the most severe form of peripheral arterial disease, commonly caused by atherosclerosis leading to progressive blockage of arterial vessels. For patients not suitable for surgical intervention, angiogenic cell therapy has emerged as a promising alternative, showing potential for enhancing revascularization by promoting vessel formation and blood flow recovery.

Summary: This study aimed to identify predictors of health related quality of life (HRQoL) among people with mental illness who underwent outpatient follow-up in the Sidama region of southern Ethiopia. The results showed that HRQoL was positively associated with social support and being single, while it was negatively impacted by functional disability, being a student or jobless, and being diagnosed with depression. The findings suggest that the mental health care system should focus on enhancing functioning, social support, and employment to improve HRQoL in people with mental illness.

Summary: This study investigated the relationship between anxiety and depression and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in adults with migraines. The findings showed that a significant proportion of migraineurs also experienced depression and anxiety, which were negatively associated with HRQoL. Migraineurs with comorbid depression and anxiety had the lowest HRQoL scores. Furthermore, regular exercise was found to have a positive impact on HRQoL among migraine sufferers.
