In order to analyze the homogeneous discharge of air dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) under ambient conditions, three different electrode structures are used in the paper. They are aluminum plane electrode, stainless mesh electrode and pure water electrode. The electrical characteristics are obtained and compared by using Lissajous figures, the waveforms of applied voltage and discharge current and the light emission images. The results show that the discharges of the different electrode structures are all filamentary discharges mode in ambient air and the discharge intensity of pure water electrode is much weaker than the other two electrodes.
